Manny is the greatest weight climber. He began as a flyweight and ended up as a super welter. Never lost power or speed. Age is what played against him, not moving up in weight

He never fought at super welterweight. Fight was at catchweight 150, margarito weighted 150 vs 144 Poochioo, this fight should not count.

Pacquiao actually made his professional debut at 16 years old, weighing around 98 pounds (44 kg), which is 7 pounds below the minimum weight class of 105 pounds (48 kg). He had to put heavy objects in his pocket just to make weight. He managed to win his 8 division world title at 154 pounds that's a total of going through 12 weigh classes

Unfortunately, it seems like the comments only know one boxer, and I love Manny too, but I would love to highlight some other great weight climbers who deserve their flowers. You got Langford, who went from lightweight all the way to heavyweight. Toney and Roy Jones who went from middleweight to heavyweight. Tommy Hearns started at Welterweight and ended up at to Cruiserweight knocking people out. De La Hoya, was able to move up to 6 divisions from junior lightweight to middleweight. Hank Armstrong was undisputed in 3 weight classes simultaneously. Love Manny, but he’s not the only boxer whoever existed and these guys deserve flowers too.

Pacquiao was a champion at flyweight and ended up beating up two of the largest welterweights anyone has ever seen in Margarito and Clottey and another guy, Cotto, who would eventually become the legit middleweight champion of the world. In terms of recently what he did and what Amanda Serrano has done is just ridiculous.

no offense to Serrano she's a great fighter but the talent pool in women's boxing is not even close to what it is in mens. Manny has overcome way superior opponents.

@@handfloboxingreview1673You are completely correct but even with that being the case, no one else has done what she's done. Serrano once won a title at 140 and then in her very next fight, she dropped to junior bantamweight and won another. So not at Pac's level, I agree, but remarkable still.

margarito and cotto came from devastating or brutal knockouts a few fights or so when they fought pacman and those fights were catchweight fights.Clottey came from a lost.

Let’s not forget Henry Armstrong, feather to middleweight. He’s the GOAT when it comes to weight climbing. Not to mention he’s GOATED as fighter overall.

Yes Duran fought in 7 weight divisions, but if I'm not mistaken he only became a world champion in like 4 divisions. The only boxer who came close to tying up with Manny's record is Amanda Serrano who recently became a 7 division world champion.

Cotto was not really a true 154lb , he was at his best at 140 and 147, Floyd never stayed to fight him he retired when they were suppose to meet. Then Cotto fought plaster Margacheato and was never the same. Then Floyd decided to come back and fight Marquez at a catchweight he decided he didn't want to make. Smh he's great yes but his whole career was strategically picked out. Also Canelo was at a catchweight at 152lbs. But yeah he school that fool pretty easy. Cotto gave Floyd and Canelo alot of trouble even thought it was later in his career.

according to your bias eyes...it wasnt even that close. Castilo only rallied in the last three rounds but wasnt really enough to win the majority of the rounds cause floyd already banked in the early and middle rounds.
