This guy is one of the best teachers out there. Lots of people may know their stuff, although few are as experienced as Matt, but it's his superb manner of simple explaining that makes him a unique teacher.

The problem is in some cases it will work, but in the heat of battle are you looking to see the position of your feet?

No it must be trained till its automatic

Just think of moving towards the opponents blindspot and you'll almost do the foot thing automatically.

I'm a southpaw as well I'm very good with moving to the right and not allowing that foot positioning. But I'm usually shorter and have problems with reach advantage. I have problems with the right hand and hook any tips to avoid and counter these shots?
