Buddy is likely an instructor... aikido is a cool piece of history and tradition, but as a combat style it is antiquated and ineffective. Especially as by design it is meant to be a skillset for an unarmed man in a desperate situation to be able to control and disarm an incoming sword strike. It was never intended as a hand to hand combat style. Hence why buddy here, who is very likely proficient in Aikido, is being made to look like an amateur. He is practiced in Aikido, not unarmed combat. Martial arts folk tend to delude themselves in controlled, non-competitive environments

As someone who knows nothing about hand to hand, most non-aggressive forms of martial arts seemed pretty ineffective compared to somebody who was just willing to get hit in order to hit someone else much harder.

That cage fighter's no good his arms are dropped. He can't even fight 2 people at once.He could barely fight one man in a cage let a loan. I don't think he's that good at all. I don't recommend anybody learning. MMA from these people who are so called cage fighters.
