The scene where Malik cuts the men free got to me. He finally understood just what his friend was even though he knew that he was a slave trader but he had opened his eyes to the cruel world that also his mother had gone through. Him freeing the slaves and watching his friend die i believe was his opening his eyes moment. It was like he was freeing himself per say. The slaves also knew that he wasn't like the others as shown that they only went after Santo and it did at least to me look like Malik was pushed or pulled out of the boat while Santo was dragged to the water and drowned. As well as telling Malik to get in the boat was also a way of saying thank you and to come with them. Malik was one of them in a way. He showed them that he was not with the slave traders.

Men are jealous of this movie 😂😂😂....or maybe if you know your history...this movie would be more fun if it was accurate.. the worrior woman was actually the villains here selling African people into slavery for trade and resources....in some parts of Africa today some trade still hate to here the actual name of this woman warrior tribe

I'm not a male, and I know the history of Dahomey, they willingly engaged in slavery of other Africans, this movie is a piece of unmitigated fiction and wishful thinking and revisionism gone wild.
