What I noticed it's the extra space you also need in the wrist area of the glove to get your now-new-knuckle-guarded-hand inside your boxing gloves. Great review as always Carlo! 👍

I was literally just looking at those couple days ago. good timing.

I'm currently using 1 gel insert (removed from cheap Everlast gel wraps), sandwiched by 2 quite thin foam exercise mat cutouts (the gel slides if against the skin) - all with slits for wraps to get right into the knuckle, Rival wraps and some electrical tape to stiffen it up. It would be much easier if something like this worked for me. What I tend to find is the materials are either too soft or the fit is too loose in and around the knuckles, particularly after some use. I feel I get good feedback off the bag this way, while still taking out the shock. Virtually no movement as well after a full session. I haven't used this product yet but thought I'd share a system I've had success with. My main problem was my right index finger/knuckle moving too much on impact with straights. Made worse by the amount of gloves that don't encourage you to land flush/cater for longer fingers. So bringing the knuckles forward was important for me. Thanks to this channel, I'm also now using Phenom gloves, which even in the 14oz, after a couple sessions, have got me landing flat with enough length in finger compartment. And for anyone with wrist issues, I actually found switching down from 16's to 14's has helped a lot. Shots can be more precise on the bag and less lateral hand movement in the glove - all things that contribute to this.

So I picked these up and they do feel tight inside the glove (I do have really cheap gloves though) - your tips on stuffing t-shirts or socks inside the glove is something I would have never thought about! I’ve returned to boxing and currently i am using winning ng-2 pads but i feel like i need some more protection. How would you compare these knuckle guards compared to ng-2’s in protection wise? It is obvious that these are thicker. Do you think that these offer more protection for the hand?

Thats square little leather component that tells you if its left or right is a killer! pushes down on your hand and gets painful after a while. That was bad design

Hey man, how did you measure your hand size for those? Should I keep the fingers together while measuring or should they stay apart? When my fingers are together I have a 8.5 cm wide palm. Thanks for the video. I have 16oz Cleto + extra padding I also have 14oz Cleto, which is tighter. What ounce gloves would you use them for? They look easier to apply than the Skulltec gel pads. Agree?
