I just picked up a young Boxwood from a Lowes. They were selling them with bows on them as a Christmas plant. It’ll be much more enjoyed as a Bonsai.

How often do you water it & do you manually water. I've found mine needs pretty often watering. Daily?

Manually watering, but it depends on the soil, if you got one from a nursery and have not yet repot it, you might have a mix of soil that requires intermediate watering meaning water it a bit, let it sit a couple of minutes and then water again, some semi shaded area will also allow for better growth. Best of luck !

Sir my buxus bonsai is shedding out leaves..... and I can see no re growth of them... could u pls help me out???

If there is any yellow? You might have an over water problem if the leaves are super dry when they fall off, it’s too much sun.

I have one about the same size. Question, if I was to do the root reduction and transplant it into a bonsai container at current size, will she grow and or the trunk thicken?

She will grow. However boxwoods grow slowly, if you want a faster growth, without compromising the nebary, repot it on a larger container with a tile under the roots. And leave a good sacrificial branch.

@@daver9643 it prevents the roots to shoot downward allowing you to continue to have a good nebary with more room for growth

you can began at almost any state, if it is too small and would like a faster result, I suggest going for a shohin bonsai. If you want a larger tree, make sure you give it lots of room to grow.

Depending on the pot and the soil that is in. If it’s in an organic soil “normal” don’t water too much. If it’s in a porous bonsai soil you will need to water more often. Ultimately the best way to know is if the top layer of the soil is dry or not. In addition, there is other variables such as the % of humidity during the day, hot summer day ? Or rain. 🙂

Dear lord that intro song is so unbelievably out of audio level.... your voice is whisper quiet and the intro was so loud it was causing distortion in my speakers. Please show this to your video editor
