It’s a shame. All of the Top 40 trash sounds EXACTLY alike and when you have a true artist pour out his heart and soul, it gets virtually no attention. It’s sad because THIS is what REAL music by REAL musicians sounds like! It makes you feel. There’s no other way to put it. Something that autotunes and computer noises can NEVER do. Unmistakable. Bravo Culture Club, BRAVO!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You all gave ME life! And Boy has never been more beautiful....💟☮️✝️💜☁️☁️🕊 #LIFE

You should give their 2018 album a listen also called "life". The album reached no12 in the U.K album chart and was a no1 on the u.k independent chart. Also check out G's 2014 solo album "this is what i do" all can be found on you tube )))

Same! I just read an article about the 40th anniversary of the "Colour By Numbers" album and it mentioned this one. I had no idea! And I even went to one of their reunion concerts in 2016. Was impressed how Boy George's voice has held up over the years, and in some cases, sounded even better.

The day the album was released - 26 Oct 2018 - my life was altered... I had been single for 16 years and had - at age 49 - really decided that such was my lot in life. By choice and circumstance I had become quite the recluse - I work from home - so a very dark and dull life. That night, I was convinced to go out on a blind date … - I KNOW its only 3 months ago but "I let this stranger walk into my life Stepped out of the darkness back into the light I know I'm crazy but just a little sane I get to take this ride again" A ride I had long given up on - what fun it is to take that ride of falling in love !!"You give me hope when I wake up To lift my head high And take what's mine We look for laughter in the madness You give me hope And you give me life"I could never have expressed to Jesse the impact he has had on me and my life That it is possible to step back into the light. My BFF has said to me for 15 years "In the words of Boy George - you always fall in love again"So, thank you George for not only having composed most of the soundtrack to my life, but for putting this new part of my life to beautiful soulful music.

He is leaving the past behind except when nasty ppl continue to throw it back up. This song is about the life he started after all of that. This group brought me joy singing along, dancing and really FEELING their music back in the 80's. I was always saddened when they left the airwaves. Boy George's voice, while noticeably different now in 2020, is still soulful and distinctive. There are few artists that can capture and maintain the hearts of their fans, but this group and Boy George will endure simply because of the emotion within the music and that amazing voice. Music nowadays is not as connective as it used to be simply because people are more interested in artificial effects and disconnected pop or rap. (Not that it wasn't happening in the 80's, but it seems that there is more autotune and less inclusion of different musical styles and instrumentation). You can do tech, pop, rock, soul, rap, etc. while still connecting through raw vocals, skilled instrumentality, and actual talent. The musicians of today don't seem to be as original as the talent that came before. Not everyone, just most. Kudos to Culture Club and Boy George for showing their progress, their pain, their joy, their TALENT, and still being inspirational. Sparkle on!
