Kevin is right, the mic stands are custom made and they are lighter then regular mic stands. But it makes the chorography and tricks no less impressive. SHINee's mic stand choreography is legend and, like SHINee, it was so unique for its time and unlike anything anyone had done up until then. Just another example of what makes SHINee pure greatness and why they are considered one of the best when it comes to their vocals and dancing. :D There is even an iconic moment in one of their MCountdown comeback stages for "Dream Girl" where Minho's mic stand breaks in the middle of the dance and the way they all improvised and kept on dancing just shows how skilled and professional they are. Check out an episode of the variety show Beatles Code 2 where they actually show off their mic stands and talk about the accident. You will also get a chance to see Onew and Taemin's mic stand tricks more closely. (Onew is known for the fact that he can literally spin almost anything , including the mic stand.) The mic stands were custom made for them. I'm surprised Taemin also didn't do his hand-mic spin in this version. That was so cool too. You should watch the actual MV for "Your Number" black version so you will see the actual dance. It's fantastic and so smooth. The footwork is crazy.

Those mic stands are heavy as tay are reinforced for the performance (at first they would break actual mic stands with their spins and so on). One's uper body strength is impressive. He lifted that thing like it was plastic broom while singing and not even broke the note. Legends only

Onew has once spun a foldable chair with TWO-THREE fingers. Yeah, the microphones are 4kg, but Onew is also very strong (he can break walnuts with his finger). :D Definitely subscribing and hoping for a Your Number cover because your voices are so good!

Those mic stands are at 4kgs each, customized so they can do the acrobatics they do in the choreo.. but not light for sure.. but then again Onew cracks walnuts with his finger so.. twirling that stand be nothing. He can twirl laptops and stuff too.

Dream Girl was such a unique song (and a legendary song with those harmonies), they HAD to make a unique choreography with mic stand props along with it!
