Tips for reading: make it a part of your routine. In the beginning I “forced” myself to read a chapter before bed. After doing it for a while it felt more natural and I got so into the book I chose to read. Idk I think getting into something is easier when you start out creating a habit.

A tip for reading: you have to find the one book and you’ll know when you find it. For example if you find a really interesting book and it just clicks with you and you can’t put it down, that will make you want to read more because you will fall in love. So just keep trying different books and you will find your book that gets you into the world of reading ❤️❤️

This is coming from someone who wants to read WAY more, but is un motivated, if you cant get your way through the book, maybe pick a new one, like one that you DO feel motivated to read, like Harry Potter is very addicting after the first few books

Hey, I hope everyone is blessed and is doing well! Hannah, in regards to the reading motivation, one thing that I learned in college was simply to "get it done." Such tasks, e.g. writing, studying, reading -- even leisurely -- though enjoyable at times, can also not be so amusing. I prefer to think of them as I do working out or doing cardio. The gym is amazing, and it has great benefits both psychological and physical, obvs. But let's be real, one does not always motivated to do it, yet he or she simply does it, nonetheless. This is where discipline comes into play, hence the phrase by which I live, "just get it done." Reading is amazing; I quite enjoy it, especially the classics. But the same sentiments of dread or simply refusing to read altogether arise, at times, and I have to force simply "just get it done" -- or to at least commence reading one page at a time. Once you start, usually it will become enjoyable as with the gym, a run or any other task. So, again, to give you -- and frankly, myself lol -- some counsel concerning reading: "just get it done" i.e. initiate the process of reading, and you will discover shortly thereafter that you will have escaped into the blissful world that reading is! Just my two cents. Anyway, these vlogs are amazing, Hannah. They are entertaining and quite motivating for me. I have been watching you for some time now; seeing you boldly make this move across the world is inspiring. Since college, it has been a dream of mine to get out to Hawai'i! i have a reading tip for you!!! what might help and usually works for me (bc i have a really short attention span and jump around from things a lot) is after you go for a long walk/run or workout, or just do something where you work up a sweat (like surfing or swimming even), immediately lay down or sit down and open a book. i find that when I'm physically tired it makes my brain more likely to stay focused on one thing bc i have less energy!! and this way you're also not falling asleep while you read if say you were reading right before bed.

Watching this to try and distract myself from the fact that England’s schools are opening again on March 8th and I wanna cry 🥰
