It's no secret that Girl Meets World mines many of Boy Meets World's plot lines and life lessons. Fans, of course, have noticed and dutifully documented this, but how much are the stars aware of it?
We gave Ben Savage and Rowan Blanchard vague plot descriptions with the sole objective of guessing if it's from Boy, Girl - or both. Did they "do good"? Watch above to find out.

I feel like GMW forces the lessons onto its viewers as opposed to BMW where they feel more natural and less forced. Plus, BMW faced real world issues like, drinking, sex, race, and family

gmw being on disney channel is a disadvantage. bmw were able to touch on subjects such as underage drinking, sex , and drugs. gmw writers tries too hard on life lessons resulting on some of them being unrealistic.

I feel like they should pass the show onto free form after season 3 because they are in high school and these things happen in the teen years plus there are theories that the writers of gmw are building up a depression storyline with Riley and I think it would be a good topic that this show should do

By itself Girl Meets World has some value but no show will ever be as good as Boy Meets World. What actually bothers me most is the style change. BMW could somehow make you laugh, cry, and think all in the same episode without even sounding like it was trying to. In GMW I had trouble figuring out who the main character was because there was so little emphasis placed on Riley. Cory was always funny when he needed to be and easy to relate to. I'm just glad the cast got to reunite, especially Shawn and Angela!

Being that Girl Meets World is on the Disney channel they won't touch the same subjects like Boy Meets World did, now if Girl was on a different channel they probably would do the same as Boy. But as long as it stays on disney we won't see them grow up & experience what life has to offer. That's why Boy was & will be the better show.

Girl meets world never stood a chance. Boy meets world was on ABC family I think it was called. They were kind of left alone on the TGIF line up. Between that and being on a network that allowed more mature themes for the kids to work through, allowed the show to grow it's audience. Girl meets world being stuck on Disney, seemed to be under the gun the moment it aired. They also didn't seem to be given the same leeway that boy meets world was, because they were on Disney. I don't know if girl meets world being on a different network would have helped it, but i don't believe it could've hurt it.

I think they're both good. It might be the nostalgia of boy meets world that won't let some accept girl meets world. They still have the good values and the fun. All that matters.

Boy meets world is one my favorite series, and girl meets world was a great sequel series, sadly it only made it 3 seasons for it was on disney, and Disney ends everything good after two to three seasons now and days

exactly man I keep saying the same thing the shows that us 90's kids used to watch are much better than todays mostly because 90's shows were more informative about life lessons and family relatons they were the type of shows that kids would have fun watching and learn some life lessons at the same time. but todays shows have little or nothing of what ive mentioned.

I don't think it's the because of the time period that people prefer bmw. Bmw was just more raw and unrestricted, this is probably why people prefer it.

Taxylor True. You can't blame them though. This is just the mentality that most people have with things they love. If you grow up in a certain time period and you live long enough to see something you love radically change, then often time enough, you'll start to almost envy what you love has become. It happens with TV shows, bands, people, etc. Change is just hard to accept. I know I'm getting into this a bit too much, but hope it all makes sense.

Farkle in a different episode had more than 700. in the episode they showed us he said he had 700

+Mackenzie Artist I think Farkle was lying because if Minkus said they had 1261 A's between them in Girl Meets Maya's Mom and Minkus had 699 A's in BMW. So technically Farkles off by a couple of hundred because he said he also had 700 A's in Girl Meets Father and the numbers don't equal 1261.

Because I think in one episode of GMW Minkus (Farkle's dad) says that in total they have 1261 A's together. If Minkus had 699 A's, then Farkle must only have 562 A's...

Boy Meets World - that show dared. it got dark, tackled serious and scary things. Especially through Shawn. It was legit. Girl Meets World - it only gets really good when the old crew gets together.

I love Boy Meets World but Girl Meets World is not bad. I love how you got to see Shawn, Mr. Fenny, Eric, Alan, Amy, Morgan. I love the fact Jack Hunger came in even if it was only one time.

Boy meets world was on ABC meaning they had more creative freedom, and were able to handle mature stories thus being more relatable and realistic than Girl meets world, so BMW wins in my book.

Boy meets World clearly has more story, knowledge and just plain realism put into it. Personally, I find that BMW was the better show. You're never gonna get another show as raw as that.

I think it also has to do with how these shows in the 90's and early 00's were so down to earth, so relatable and just a show about a normal kid revolving around real issues. GMW it's a jewel in its own time, in a time where every show is about wizards, superstars, a talking dog, and with over the top obvious comedy. Off course BMW is better, always will be, but I really appreciate that even for a Disney show in today's standards, GMW was a really enjoyable show (plus the cameos gave me liiiife!).

I love Boy Meets World, and even if I don't really like Girl Meets World, I really don't think we should compare them, because they are definitely not the same: Girl Meets World is a Disney show for kids. anyway I know that us BMW fans were diaapointed because we expected the sequel to be similar to Boy Meets World
