everytime i hear this song, it just takes me back 2 years, when freshman me was dealing with shit. i would spend entire days in bed, missing my classes, ignoring the people around me, just wallowing in a cesspool of self pity. i had heard boy pablo before but i hadn't really paid too much attention to their songs until i got a spotify notification for the new ep. the day this ep came out, i was walking back to my dorm from the library at night, looking for something to drown out my thoughts. every single track was amazing, and still is, but this is the only one that really made me feel a different way. still does to this day, shit slaps harder than my dorm shower when i slipped and fell on my ass. thanks, pablo. your songs will always have a place in my heart, for all the times i spent alone at night listening to this, for all the people i left as nothing more than memories, for all the feelings you helped me get past.

this song has always made me realize the reality of love and what it truly felt and was like for someone (such as me) who had always been in an unrequited relationship. ever since i fell in love with this girl, i knew that she wouldn’t give me back the love that i’d hid from her. the fact that she never knew who i really was to her and what she truly meant to me had always hit me in the feels. the fact that i never and will never ever get the chance to atleast confess my feelings will always haunt me. the sound, the simple drum pattern, the synth, the riff, and especially the lyrics never fails to describe how i feel towards things like this. without boy pablo, these past 2 years would’ve been less likely memorable than it already is for me. the first time i listened to boy pablo, i instantly felt incredibly good and i felt like i could finally relate to music unlike the way i ever did. thank you so much boy pablo and 777tv for giving us such great music

My significant other and I bonded over this song during the early onset of our relationship. There was so much denial in me that we would ever be together but I couldn't seem to stay away from him. We were just so drawn to each other and he always spoke us into existence. I really fell for him hard. Fast forward, we've been together for more than a year and have been in a slump for months now, each having our own problems, along with problems about or situation. Because of the pandemic, we haven't seen each other for over 7 months. This is the first time I listened to this song in a long time. We don't know what's going to happen next.
