@@resjgamer2378 Meh, disagree. That plot theme works for something like OPM because it's presented as Saitama's greatest strength and character flaw. There is comedy of course but we can clearly see he isn't smart, he's depressed and he has few people he can consider a friend. What makes Saitama a compelling character is he is trying to overcome a struggle within himself. Cain on the other hand is pretty much just a Gary Stew, he has no notable character flaws and is naturally good at anything he tries without even working for it; he is unrelatable. The modern atmosphere of media (especially anime) seems to be heading in this unrelatable direction of narrative as the real world becomes more and more competitive and we want to escape into a world where there is no stress or struggle. It's only human nature to wonder what is the most successful I could be. Nevertheless, struggle is essential to "good" media. I'd compare anime's like this to Sharknado, entertaining for sure but ultimately not "good".
