If Indian companies go there and compete with each other and spend at least 1 billion or even 2 billion, then Lakshadweep can become a huge tourism spot. .Every year about 1 to 2 billion dollars from India goes into the economy of Maldives which is 25 to 30% of the entire economy of Maldives. If someone wants to do this business then it can be a huge opportunity. Not only Lakshadweep but also Andaman Nicobar can become a tourism hub but the thing is that the government will have to remove the complex bureaucratic system and make it more flexible.

Yes I had visited Agati island in Lakshadweep in 2011 . I was most amazed to see its beauty. One side sea and other side blue lagoons. But govt should do away with permit and make travel cheap and comfortable with reasonable price hotels for common Indians

I made a trip in 2018 ,,and its actually very cheap than MALDIVES with beautiful 🤩 Nature and deep sea life ..... There was less infrastructure at that time ,,hope INDIAN GOVT will change the demographics of LAKSHADWEEP ISLANDs my fav MINICOY island 🏝️.....just eat their seafood variation

I am trying to book tickets but due to availability of one flight per day which is also from Kochi , people are not able to visit Lakshadweep. Further only 1 flight operate per day and one time , there is no available seats. Govt and airline company should start more flights to Lakshadweep ao that people can visit Lakshadweep.

Further there is no availablity of flights till March to visit Lakshadweep from November, As we all know best months to visit Lakshadweep and Andaman is October to April , if this situation will be there how govt should promote tourism. PM should come to promote Lakshadweep with plans rather than promoting it in hurry. Ground reality is something else. I hope things will improve with the time and govt should also provide robust inter island transport system and full information of the same to tourist.

Andaman nicobar islands have unexplored oil reserves under sea .. also the coral reefs under lakshwadeep islands are a protected heritage zone… till date not many resorts have been opened across those 30 odd islands on one is active so the resorts could be a modern sustainable development that is in line with ecological and economic prosperity of the people of these islands and india … but it could be massive projects

Maldives is not only hyped by Indians .. all over world it’s a favourite tourist spot . Everyone wants to go to Maldives and who can’t afford it, they go to Thailand etc as they also have nice beaches . In my honest opinion, any beach with clean water and white sand looks awesome , no need to spend a lot on Maldives especially when we know their stance towards India.

मालदीव के लोग भारत के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी और प्यार दोस्ती को अच्छे से समझते हैं और निभाते भी है। परंतु भारत किसी भी स्थिति में मालदीव में कोई चीनी नौसेना का अड्डा नहीं बनने स्वीकार करेगा। और अंत्वओगत अगर भारत को सभी प्रयास के विफल होने पर मालदीव पर सैन्य हस्तक्षेप भी करना पडे तो पीछे नहीं हटेंगे।

Promote Lakshadweep and Boycott Maldives. We literally no time to compete with a country whose GDP is $6 billion, even my city Siliguri has more GDP than whole Maldives put together. Bollywood is the reason why Maldives is so much in hype.

Two major problems (restriction)while travelling Lakshadweep: 1. Only flight to lakshadweep is only from Kochi(while there is also option cruise ship). Flight connectivity from other big cities of India(Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, etc) needs to be there. 2. We need to get permit for travelling to lakshadweep and I konw few tour operators do it in Kochi(needs to be looked into). I myself was planning to visit lakshadweep from 1.5 years..but due to above restricting have postponed till now.

True Indians should dislike n unfollow those Indian celebrities n tourists who post n unload Maldives pics n places in their social media.They should visit, spend vacations and honeymoon in A&N Islands and Lakshadweep to enjoy beaches,sea food etc.I spent one week in A&N Islands for study tour purpose and witnessed thousand of foreigners enjoying and spending their vacations there n these made me happy n proud Indians.Please first explore own country's states,UTs,tourist n pilgrimage places etc.n then visit own dream foreign country places not more than one.

Incase of Chinese phones, we had no alternatives. There is no such excellent Indian phone brand. But lakshadweep is a very good alternative to Maldives

Ofcourse they are going to do this, This is not a surprise, they will intimidate both india and china to get the best from both of them Now, Sri Lanka is in good terms with india, Nepal is asking for regime change while Bangladesh and Maldives are in favor of China which I believe will change but after very very long time(might take decades) Our relationship with these countries will be decided by the lengths of our cheques(and as we know right now china has an upper hand)foreign policy is a latter thing
