being a lifeguard doesn't save you from someone landing on your head. note i didn't say they were wrong, just that they were too close for my comfort. so your wellaktuallys are unnecessary.

they are often this close. I wondered about that at first as well, but it seems to be standard practice. also: if she hit the pole mid air it wouldn't have been all that bad probably. both travelling at roughly the same speed and in the same direction should not result in much damage

I could never get up so high and then jump off like this! Getting up HALF that high would cause me to get EXTREMELY light-headed , dizzy , nauseated , and my anxiety would have me shaking so bad that it would probably look like a seizure! This woman has heart! Because I could never!! One of the main things that would be on my mind THE MOST , in that moment, would be something going terribly wrong and me breaking my neck in the process. GOD BLESS THIS WOMAN & PLEASE KEEP HER SAFE , AT ALL COSTS. ❤

@@katiemarmaladie2552 Yeah, we're just not communicating. The lady has disappeared and people are saying we miss you and stay safe and I hope she's okay, etc, like she's in critical care with lyme disease or something. Does everyone in your professions get official “pole training” and attend practice before being allowed to drop them from so high?! I’m always scared if they decide to take a wrong turn and end up knocking someone out (especially the diver!) or impaling someone, especially with the uncontrolled wind! lol, okay maybe I’m being a tad dramatic, but you get the point - tell us more about ensuring safety with those poles! Maybe they should at least be padded with something?!
