also the reaction to lucy’s line in souvenir was very relatable. i think my jaw dropped the first time i heard “when you cut a hole into my skull, do you hate what you see... like i do”

everyone commenting about graceland too, not only is it a reunion, but it’s likely about julien baker bc she’s from memphis and the line “she could go home, but she’s not going to” is likely a reference to julien’s most heartbreaking song called go home:)

I love Julien Baker’s song Favor from her new album Little Oblivions, it gives you a little taste of boy genius because phoebe and lucy sing with her! They recorded it on the same day they recorded graceland too for Phoebe and also a song for lucy!

Speaking of their Brooklyn Steel performance, at the same show they all performed separately then came together at the end for their Boygenius set. I def recommend watching their solo performances as well!! Absolutely gorgeous

Me & My Dog is definitely a song that grows on you over time, but it surely is one of Phoebe's best songs. I would recommend Julien and Lucy's solo projects, but i would really love you to listen to Ryn Weaver's The Fool, it is one of my favorite albums ever and it is totally your vibe!!! You will love it!!!

Omg great reaction! You need to react to ‘Historian’ by Lucy Dacus, it’s more of that rock sound from this EP and the lyrics are extremely painful and beautiful

@@bennshouts her other music is a lot more stripped back and has more of that singer/songwriter vibe, but little oblivions leans a lot harder into rock. it’s also almost entirely self produced and she plays nearly every instrument on it!! the lyrics are extremely dark as it’s about her struggle with substance abuse and relapse and things like that but the instrumentals are Stunning

Hard to understand the scarcity of this EP just 3 years after its release. With it being three critically-acclaimed artists that all have their own fanbases, more should have been pressed. But it seems to be out of print. Matador do better!
