Oh what a wild ride this show was. I left All Things Go festival in Maryland around midnight to drive the few hours in the dark back to NYC. I arrived around 3 or 4 AM, left my car on the street and got right on line at Madison Square Garden for wristbands. It was an exhausting drive and pretty dangerous, but I made it in one piece. Seventy second in line wasn't too bad of a spot. By 8am they gave out number wrist bands and I was able to go home and get some must needed rest.
After getting inside I was holding down the rail spot for two girls next to me while they used the bathroom, but by doing so lost my chance at getting the poster. I don't understand why they made so little copies, which meant they sold out everywhere. I went looking and looking at each booth on multiple floors but they were all gone. Despite that setback I was still able to get back to my spot and enjoy the show, which was more important. The camera operator was annoyingly in the way for a lot of the set but it was pretty sick that I got to crowd surf Phoebe during Salt in the Wound. I did not expect that at all when she climbed up right in front of me. I had to put my camera down and push her up because she was starting to fall. At some point my microphone cable got snagged and I lost audio. What a truly epic end to the night.
