Star Wars day is this week so of course I had to do something Star Warsy. I couldn’t decide just one scene to recreate, so I recreated three! Putting multiple scenes on a single diorama was a first for me, and I really enjoyed it. I hope you do too!

Well Stormtroopers used to be known as well trained soldiers. If you remember, in “a new hope” the stormtroopers absolutely destroyed the rebels on the ship. the reason they hit nothing today is due to plot armor in the first movies and that turned into a joke so that’s the reason they’re so disrespected today

the reason the storntroopers hit nothing in A New Hope was because Grand Moff Tarkin wanted them too. He planted a beacon on the falcon so the empire could find the rebel base.

@@Relte YES! Absolutely right!! Gads! I've been saying this for years to people, including SW fans, and they constantly jump on my ass and ridicule me for being an idiot. "Obvi-US-ly the best army is filled with inept soldiers. Duhhh, b1tch." 🙄🙄 No, they missed, but tried to look like they were trying to hit, because of orders, and they are the best trained soldiers in the Empire, so they *can* nearly miss to appear serious in trying to stop them. And Leia even TELLS the viewers of the film that the stormtroopers missed on purpose, "That is the reason for the ease of our escape." Han- "Easy! You call that easy?!" Leia- "They let us go. They're tracking us." But, noooo. SW fans choose to believe that Stormtroopers are completely inept. Apologies. Rant over. Be Excellent to each other and Party on. 🤘🎸😎

You should use a leftover snow trooper to make a custom character for the imaginary west. They could be like a wanderer of the snowy landscapes of somewhere where it snows. Also really awesome diorama you are probably my favourite youtuber! Edit: Thank you so much I've never got this many likes!

You should definitely use the extra troopers for a diorama where they find a wild monster and have to fight it like a mutant trex or giant dragon

Another banger in the books. Those user submitted models were fire too. Personally my two favorite were the Sidious blasting Luke and the X-Wings flying in unison over water.

This made me realize JUST how narrow the battles of Star Wars is, it’s either a chase, a chonepoint head-to-head, or a Grandiose Frontline Clash. No wonder everybody keeps dying, it’s just like WW1!

1:17 Tip from old timey architecture school - to subdivide a difficult number, tilt the ruler until you get to an easier number (like 21).

You could use the leftover Stormtroopers to make a 'behind the scenes' diorama, something in a locker room, or a canteen, just Stormtroopers being normal haha

With the misfits you could do the stormtroopers breaking into the inside of the rebel base on Hoth, have a snow speeder still parked in the hangar or something to centre the diorama around :)

For the leftover soldiers: Maybe they were fighting, but got stranded, and now have to work together to survive and fight off a large, nasty beastie of some description? Could be cool to see Rebels and Imps side-by-side, and you could scratch the giant monster itch as well.

Omg! I ALSO have a tiny plastic bag collection! Waiting for the day I meet a jewelry designer... or weed dealer I guess... so I can collaborate with them and they can use them for their product packaging. This will help us be more sustainable and I can sleep better at night.

With your leftover guys, you could have them back to back amid some snowy rocks, with a monster approaching them. Perhaps add a few lightsticks or flares in the landscape. BTW the Star Wars Wafers taste like either graham crackers or shortbread cookies.

I’d love to see a similar style diorama with Obi-Wan facing down against Maul, Grievous and Vader. Perhaps a three slice circular design with the generations of Obi back to back.

As always, just beautiful work. I did want to say too that Woodland Scenics snowflake is fantastic when used to make flowers easily too! I had some and dyed it with various Contrast Paint colours on my cutting matt before rolling them around in the paint and letting it all dry and then I could just PVA glue them to the tops of tufts by dunking the tufts in them and they worked really well! Saves having to buy like, ten different tuft sets to get a variety of colours!

Awesome video, awesome diorama(s). As an OG Star Wars fan and collector, these kinds of videos scratch so many itches. I've always wanted to/wished I could take the time and muster up the patience to tackle any sort of diorama. You tackled three different one at the same time! What the actual frack, dude?!? LOL!

Awesome video as always! I imagine since Leia lost her home world and dedicated herself to the rebellion that the wafer is some kind of military ration. Something easy to carry in the field while packing enough nutrients to keep you going on the front. No clue if it would be sweet or savory, however I will say modern MREs frequently include sweets because it is considered important for morale and I bet the same logic would be applied on battlefields long ago in a galaxy far away. Could go either way I think, but given the little tikes usually eat meat something sweet might be especially novel to an ewok, so I'll lean towards sweet.

Make a Battlefront inspired diorama with the spare minis. In the games you can use any armour you want so cannon armour doesnt matter. Could be fun to add an objective point being captured with a red or blue light like the games

Heres an Idea for the leftover troopers: (this is all made up idk if its cannon or not) Both the Empire and the Resistance required recruits to take baseline diagnostics measuring mental acuity and keenness of mind. The Diagnostics measured everything from intelligence to decision making to reaction time to executive functions such as focus. in the resistance and in the later days of the empire these diagnostics were taken by recruits only after base training had been completed, as both sides needed every solider they could get their hands on. even though the passing grade for the diagnostics were low, some recruits turned out to be twice exceptional, failing certain areas in the diagnostic while acing others with ease. In most cases, recruits like these were accepted by the Resistance, but the Empire was showed more scrutiny, casting out those twice exceptional recruits. many went back to their ordinary lives, some relieved, and others ashamed. But this group of outcasts banded together to explore the farthest reaches of the galaxy, using their finds to open shops selling the rare exotics they found. they used their combat training to explore worlds and brave unkown dangers, and then brought their haul back to Coruscant markets to sell to the aristocrat population. Just an idea lol

1stly seeing the two best stormtroopers (snow and scout) that I ran around and pretended I was as a kid in one diorama is so cool, and I love that you did all three og movies. 2nd lay, I always thought the wafers were kinda like saltines or I guess like a shortbread cookie or sweatbread

As a kid, I assumed the wafer Leia gave Wicket was just a giant Ritz cracker. Wookieepedia labels it as "military rations" which is to say it's basically a protein/meal bar for soldiers. Doesn't taste very good to most sentients (Except Ewoks, apparently) but it's got all the nutrients and vitamins both Rebel and Imperial armies need to fight.

this looks really awesome! as good as the conversation between the storm troops and rebels was, I think that the only reason they ever hit anything in that scene was because Darth Vader just guided their shots. or maybe they were just trying extra hard to impress him.

I think it'd be neat if you used your "misfits" as a post-Imperial star wars set. Get those rebels and troopers on the same side fighting some monster since no Empire exists and the Rebellion is over. They can be friends now :D

This is a great idea for a diorama! Also, I enjoyed your story about playing in the snow as a kid. Growing up in the Colorado Rockies, my favorite time of year was winter, when I could put on my parka (and eventually goggles - the coolest part!) to brave the cold, wielding my lightsaber and blaster against imaginary wampas and snowtroopers. Thank you for reminding me!

Seeing the trench made me think of the Death Korps of Krieg... I could just imagine if he could do it having a bunch of Kriegers having a conversation with either some Rebels or Stormtroopers about trenches... on one side you have some harshly judging it... on the other you have some Kriegers showing the Star Wars guys how it's supposed to be done.

for the other figures: looking at whar "biom" hadn't been done, maybe a Battle on the Hull of a Capital Ship in a Scrapyard or a downed one? Could be fun with all the Greeblies and torn Metal. Or a BBC-Quarry as reminiscence of all the britisch Sci-Fi and given how much they filmed in the UK for Star Wars
