gyuvin was not in my top9 during the whole show but the amount of love i have for that kid now is insane. his final speech really touched my heart and after that i went down the gyuvin hole. his reaction to all the members made the final even better and the fact that he is so chaotic makes me love him even more. but nonetheless, keita not making it will always make me sad. as soon as rain pulls his shit together and takes ciipher out of the basement, i will definitely be supporting them!!

I’m so glad you talked about Zoom team. I’m not kidding when I say I watched their stage like fifteen times during the run of the show (more times by now) because I loved it that much. Their personalities and group chemistry was unmatched, and honestly they could just debut the Zoom team as a group, they’re THAT good. Wumuti’s and Haruto’s elimination genuinely upset me so bad I had to put off watching the show for a bit. I’m glad Wumuti has been active in his personal stuff and has even collabed with multiple trainees from Boys Planet. I also want to mention the injustice Mnet committed on Kuanjui?? His butterfly performance was incredible. I deeply wish there wasn’t a gap between the performances because I feel like so many trainees were done dirty by Mnet splitting the performances between episodes. By the time a trainee like Kuanjui really got to shine, the voting time was pretty much over and they were doomed to be eliminated.

My one-pick was Zhang Hao and my second pick was Yoo Seungeon. God I was so afraid that Hao wouldnt make it into the lineup that I bribed my family members and colleagues to help vote for Hao. In retrospect, maybe i would have voted for shanbin instead (you can call it protective instincts over Hao... i was just afraid of the amount of sinophobia he would face so i didnt even dare to imagine him getting P01 but he DID and i'm so proud of him). Really didn't expect Ricky to make it into the group because i thought there was no way mnet would let 2 chinese members in the group LOL (now this was another point proving the fact that mnet did not rig the votes). When Ricky was announced as P04 i immediately knew Hao would rank higher because his stronger one-pick fandom. idk if you saw how Hao's fans (aka. Rosins) were like the week before the finale but omg the pessimism and gaslighting really pulled through... i didnt even dare to tell people that i used one of my devices to vote for Seungeon, when i myself was uncertain about Hao making it into the top 9. I like the final lineup of zerobaseone. each member deserved their spot in the group. i wished mnet would increase the amount of members in the final lineup though 'cause 9 was not enough..... just WHY couldn't they make it 11 like WANNAONE arghhh T____T

i didnt understand the hype with gyuvin but after him being in the debut line, ive grown to rlly like him 😭😭 and like what you said, hes essential in the group. im excited to see how he grows later on

I can never nget over Boy's planet. I got so attached to the top 28 trainees and Specially the top 18. Haruto, Seowon, Keita, Jay, Junhyeon, Jongwoo, kamden, Yedam, Hyunbeen, Phanbin, Seunghwan, Wumuti, Zihao, Jui, Woonggi, Yuehuaz, Wakeonez and Redstartz. I love them all so much.

You mentioned park hanbin and I burst into tears automatically ㅠㅠ my boy deserves to be on the final line up, I swear he deserves all the love in this world, like he's so f talented, has great personality and verrry good sense of leadership, yet ppl still not pick and vote for him ㅠㅠ Oh anyway, I thought zb1 was a balance group but after their kcon performance and their new version of here i am and say my name I realized that they need more strong vocalists and I started regretting so many things, like what if back then I voted hard for Jay or Hui or Seungeon so they could debut too? They would def bring the group's vocals level. But it's all over now, all I can do is supporting them to pursue their dream.

Still don't understand why Haruto didn't AT LEAST get to the last round. He seriously gave boys planet so much personality, everytime he had screen time I knew I would have a smile on my face. I looked forward to all of his performances, and him begging to debut before getting eliminated. It broke my heart... robbed!!

Gunwook was my one pick the whole show. Didn’t see Wild Idol but loved his dance skills and personality. When he was 12 in the last ranking I gave up - and I think he did too. Looking at his face in the finale and when he was announced, and how he didn’t prepare a speech - he definitely thought he was going home. I also didn’t think he’d make it past Rank 7, but I’m so glad he made it. I also didn’t want Gyuvin there - I didn’t see the hype. But when I saw how happy it made Gunwook that Gyuvin was there I decided I could be okay with it. I don’t think the lineup is perfect but the only change I would make is swap Yujin for Keita. I like Yujin but he’s too young. Keita would give them a Japanese member and fan base, a rapper, would make everyone in the group adults, and would make Gunwook the maknae, which are all big wins in my opinion. Also love that Zhanghao was 1st.

A month ago, I was so happy and satisfied with the final line up and I still am. 8/9 of my dream lineup ended up making the group! The only person I would've replaced would've been Yujin with Phanbin because of his age, but now I cant imagine zb1 without their adorable maknae Yujin so I'm glad he made it in the end. I also was a little disappointed that (as an allindan since the very beginning) Hanbin lost his perfect streak, but honestly I didn't care much back then because Zhang Hao was my 2nd pick and he literally made history and I still feel the same way.

The most shocking for me were Haruto and Keita's elimination, cause like I thought Haruto would at least make it into the finale and I definitely expected Keita to stay in the Top 9 until the very end so I was really devastated when they didnt say Keitas name since he was my top pick :( but Im still very happy for the final debut members and ill make sure to support everyone in the future :)

it makes me so happy that nine.i got recognized , i am grateful to seowon , jiho and winnie for that back then when no one knew them , young boy was liked so much and the boys planet contestents made it more known , i wish they have a bright future in their career

My one pick was Jiwoong, I watched BP only because of him but grew way more invested than I thought. I was honestly a bit disappointed with the final lineup at first, but I've grown to like Gyuvin, Gunwook and Taerae (I didn't pay them much attention during the show). I'm still a bit unsure about Yujin debuting, I was really against it because of his age. But seeing how cared for he is by the other members, I'm a bit more calm, especially knowing he has Jiwoong by his side. One thing I realized looking back, was the absolutely unfair treatment in terms of criticism Jiwoong got. The haters said he only got so far because he showed his abs, but multiple trainees did so too. The haters said he could only do sexy concepts and that it was boring, that he had no duality. So he joined Say My Name to prove himself. Yet I don't remember Ricky or Hao doing cute concepts, and I also didn't see any hate towards them for that. It's really sad that he was subjected to so much hate just because he's attractive and popular.

I had the exact reaction for Gyuvin’s announcement! But at the time of the finale I wasn’t emotionally invested in anyone but jiwoong so once I got over my relief of him being announced first I was just watching with a critical mindset for the rest of the team. Gyuvin was the only one I was unsure of but then I saw everyone hugging and running up to him one by one and I realised he was essential. After the finale I finally sat down and watched the show properly and let me tell you I was even happier at the final lineup after doing so 😭

I really agree that one of the best takeaways from this show was finding the eliminated contestants. I also found Nine.i from this and they quickly became an emotional attachment. And I've then become attracted to other trainees, like the Redstartz, I Chan, Haruto, Kuan Jui, Woong ki and Seongmin, the rest of the Wakeonez, Seunghwan, Takuto, and a lot of the others as well, who got so failed by Mnet. On the other side of thing, I really think that mnet was really cruel in the way they tried pushing certain trainees, and framing others. Like, Krystian, Ma JIngXiang, shuaibo. Every single one of Ricky's teams, the Matthew and Shanbin drama they kept pushing. especially for the chinese trainees, they ended up having so much damage done to them because of what mnet was choosing to show us. The fandom though, isn't without fault here, as they really contributed in the harassing of so many trainees. All of the false allegations against Jay that were so harmful, the push against Yedam because of finding CA (which i have a few opinions on), the giant hate train on Matthew, calling him a pity pick and whatnot, to the point where it was endangering his family, and the horrible horrible things that were being said to and about the evil edited chinese trainees, was despicable. The final lineup.... I'm fine with it. I am ofc sad that Jay, Keita, and Phanbin couldn't make it (all problems would have been fixed with a final 12 lineup), but the end lineup is a really vocally strong one. I do think that Yujin shouldn't have made it because of his age, and how this industry is, but i do like him and think that he is really talented. With gyuvin, he wasn't one of my top 9, and I didn't fully get the hype around him, or how he won all the benefits, but I do agree that he is very talented, and deserved to be high. He has grown on me, and I think in all, all of zb1 has become very close because of the show. sorry for the giant dump lmao, I could honestly talk about boys planet for so long, I'm that invested in ZB1 and the eleminated trainees atp

Like what makes you think Mnet would let a global LET ALONE a CHINESE trainee debut as PO1. Ricky would not have made it to the final line up. Matthew would have been place lower and Taerae (he literally ranked 2nd in Korea and got in debut line up solely BCS of his Korean fanbase WHICH IS AWESOME CAUSE I WOULD HAVE KILLED MYSELD IF HE DID NOT), Yujin and Jiwoong would have been higher. Phanbin, Seungeun or Junhyeon would have made it if it was rigged but I literally agree thing you said. THE TOP 18 WERE AWESOME. PERIOD. I love all the trainees, specially the top 52 and 28 :/ I think they all could have debuted maybe except Takuto, Junseo, Mingyu, Doha yk I mean honestly they were not bad. Personally i always watch survival sbhow after the debut line up is made and if I like them so like a few days after the finale I searched about zb1 members, found of Jiwoong was also in there and as a BL lover I thought that was awesome then I found out about Hao's heterophobic allegations and I was like oh yes i am totally staining them. SO moving on when I learnt everyone's name I was like let's go lets watch boys planet (i had seen their viral moments before tho)

My pick was Matthew, l have never watch a bp or produce series but l liked him alot nor did l know his sister. So sad his besty Keita didn't make it. Its a bitter sweet feeling but a good feeling

my favs were keita and jay so i was absolutely devastated. it’s honestly such a waste for keita because now when he goes back to ciipher rain will prob mismanage them again :( ngl i’m still lowkey salty that love me right g group lost :// imo jay quite clearly did better than hui yet jay got rlly little votes. haruto also debatably did the rap better. the whole vibe of the performance felt more fun and enjoyable to me as well. i’m also still in denial that mnet robbed keita of m countdown twice. zoom best performance in survival show history imo! also haruto’s and wang zi hao’s eliminated pretty much saddened everyone. they stayed so so hard in supercharger just to not rise in ranks?? i feel so bad for them and i hope that they, along with wumuti, jay, keita, limousine team and all the trainees who deserved better can thrive in the future.

There were so many strong contenders in the survival show this year :( I really hope most get scouted and debut soon, I loved everyone that made the top 50+ along with minseong, Chen yugeng, xuan hao, the jiho's. I watched the show a few days after it ended since I heard Ricky debuted (how I even heard and got to watch boys planet for). While I do like the current top 9 I really hoped Seowon, Woongki, Phanbin, Jay, Wang Zihao, Junhyeon, Kamden, Jongwoo, Haruto, and Keita make it too ㅠㅠ

As there is a law in Korea that stops minors from working past a certain time, as Yujin was a minor and it was nearly the time where he would have to leave, they had to rush his announcement.

Also Haruto spilled the tea on his planet boy fighter battle. Haruto won. I still want to see it tho.

They definetely shouldn't have started with the G and K battle, it was obvious that K group would win. I don't like the fact that they didn't show every performance at the beginning for the star level test, Wang Zihao didn't get notice until ep 3. 1 performance isn't enough to decide who should have stay. I mean I didn't know most of the trainees that left during ep 5. I do think that the live audience was pick randomly I think so, even though some contestant have more fan, I think it was ok, just the more shocking for me was Jay last with so little votes during over me and wongi during feels special. Since I was not present in the live audience, idk about gyuvin, he seems to have a strong stage presence from what ppl said on twitter, even though I think Seo Won stood out the most during love killa. The situation during artist battle was extremely unfair too, I mean what was the point of starting with all the members just to adjust the team a little after ? they kicked out the unpopular members who fitted better the songs during say my name for exemple, like it's a waste of time and training.

I'm just sad for the vocal line: Jay, Seungeon and Hui :'c (the moment I saw Jay was 10th, the bitterness about a minor making it instead of him got a huge boost) Also, in the second mission (k vs g) comparing the positions' vote count was completely wrong of Mnet: the task given to the audience wasn't to vote for which group did better in each position, instead, they barely got a few votes to give throughout the entire night. (Meaning it was basically a popularity contest, audience members voting for their picks they decided before the performances even took place.)

I watched BP only after the lineup was announced, so my heart had already gotten attached to those 9. There are definitely picks who I can’t believe didn’t debut. And I will definitely support them when they do. But i can’t imagine the current zb1 lineup to be any different now.

My onepick was Seungeon, but Jiwoong's bit grown in me during his Hot Summer performance. So after Seungeon didn't make it to the lineup, at first I didn't wanna follow the group but I've decided to give them a try and Jiwoong really won my heart. I started to watch all his predebut content and his fancam after the final and surprisingly he's a really amazing performer. Poor boy, Mnet just show him when talk about visual.

I watched the series very late I think Mnet definetly wanted Hanbin and Hao to face against each other in the final, makes sense since they're the centerz. They were probably told to go on opposite teams, or Hanbin was greedy af 😭 Also I'm shocked that the votes don't seem rigged at all considering it's Mnet. But they truly dont seem rigged at all, because Ricky would have NEVER made the group. Mnet did not give him a single good edit, it was just trainees saying he was good the whole time. I think Mnet were pushing Phanbin, Lee Jonghyeon, and Kum Junhyeon for the final lineup instead of Gyuvin and Ricky.

my one pick was always jongwoo and although i was initially biased bc i stanned black level, i definitely got to know him way better on bp bc his old group had little to no content and he left shortly after i stanned tjem 😭 he probably wouldve been my pick anywahs but i only really got interested in the show because of him i love his stage presence and i was always obsessed w his raps as well as the choreography he made for his grp, but after boys planet i also found out he has leadership skills which i didnt expect at all bc he was originally the maknae lmao also his relationships with the other trainees was so cute, i miss his interactions with jiwoong and seunghwan from the first few episodes my other picks throughout the show were haruto, ricky and jiwoong and i also rlly liked zhang hao and shanbin i was disappointed that jongwoo was last place in the finals but im glad he made it to the finals to begin with 😭 i never thought id see him on bp in the first place let alone making it into the top 18

Honestly I was surprised that Wang Zihao was not shown throughout the show, He as a really cute smile, he's tall, he's an amazing dancer, he has a great presence (esp in super charger), and he's a wonderful singer. Plus he trained under Lay from Exo. He could've been super popular if mnet give him some screen time

OMG fr ! I literally just fell in love with seowon and I don't even remember how , so then I was looking up other seowon performances and I found nine.i. and as soon as I heard young boy I was obsessed! I was so scared for seowon, but like I kinda accepted he would be gone and wouldn't make it to the final 18 😢but yeah, I am SO happy that I found nine.i ALSO I was literally crying when wang zi hao didn't make it to the top18 , like mnet gave him no screen time and still he go to 19th, imagine if he did get screen time. Also what was more annoying was that after he was eliminated, they released content which he was in Finally , kum junhyeon 💖 I can't lie , at first I didn't really know who he was , but after that ggang performance I fell in love with him and he became my number 1. He was so funny but also really talented and charismatic, but I feel like mnet only used him for his funny and bubbly character, and didn't really highlight how talented he was, like, that boy can dance and omg is singing is just jaw-dropping (you can listen to his OST hello stranger, it's so beautiful and his emotions are on point)

Gunwookie was my immediate first pick the moment mnet released their star level test. During the first elimination, I was so shock how low his rankings were for his talent. That is where my dedication for voting for him every day started. Like i would literally set an alarm at 8:00 p.m. to remind myself to vote for him. Even during the finals, I sat down watching the live waiting for the votings to open..and I would say all my dedication for voting him every day didn't come to waste...along the way i fell in love with the other members of boys planet. It was sad to see them getting eliminated slowly but i am sure there are more opportunities waiting for them outside mnet doors...now, i am hooked with zb1 amd wil l continue to follow them until the very last day!!!

i love the nine.i promo at the end LMAO im someone who didnt watch the episodes at all. like i got to know the show through ricky's pr video going viral and i would simply watch the performances as they got uploaded on youtube. As someone who didn't get to see the evil editing or the amount of screen time, I was also really rooting for jiwoong, keita, jay, seungeon & woongki & zihao (!!!), haruto, ollie, and the limousine boys. Later on I found out from my friend that all of supercharger got eliminated and I was shook. I didn't even know that they only had 3 days to prepare all of that because it was so perfect in every way. Andd I didn't even like the song but THEY made me like it so I still watch their performance almost daily. After that, I found out that Ricky wasn't as popular as I thought despite the viral catch phrase [basically I thought he had more screen time to secure his spot idk] So I downloaded the app and voted for him lmaooo As for why Ricky was my one pick, I think there are some people that just suit the job of being a celebrity if that makes sense? He has such a natural charisma which drew me in as a non-watcher and I think that's good for any team to have. A stan attractor is probably the term for him. When I saw g-group's back door performance, Krystian and him really stood out to me so I was hoping they'd make it. I also loved his voice in Over Me and I felt it was a shame that he only got to show off his singing skills very late into the competition. I agree that the lineup of trainees was very strong. If only it was possible to debut all of the trainees that were still around in the artist battle [who said nct can be the only kpop group with 20+ members?? lmaoo] Like watching those performances, all the teams could have been debuted groups by themselves. But still, because everyone's so talented, we just have more idols/trainees/groups to watch out for in the future!! Anyway, sorry for the long comment and i loved the video!!

keita was robbed but im glad he got to collab with ph-1. i think that was really cool of ph-1 to do that bc it brings him more awareness. jay was robbed as well, his vocals immediately caught my attention in the first ep when he did rush hour, those runs he did were seriously impressive and i think they were overlooked. haruto's elimination seriously pissed me off bc he was so talented in supercharger i think it was (which was easily the catchiest and coolest song out of all that ep) and you could tell he gave it his everything. i really just hope that the those who didnt debut won't be discouraged/ give up on their dreams bc they are all seriously SO talented. i also hope they find the right companies bc... its important yk..? anyway, i'll never forget this show, it was pretty great. also what you said about the last episode being way too damn long.. i liked your reactions and comments. I was frustrated myself tho. I was not there during those moments and just recently watched them in the released eps, I seriously got hooked with them that I even sacrificed sleep. I just finished watching 12eps earlier at 5am and sleep to wake up at 8am for work, haha. They're seriously so talented and have more room for improvements, I just hope they succeed and for the others to achieve their goals and dreams after the elimination. I didnt watch the show until ZB1 had already debuted. For the life of me I couldn’t really understand why Gyuvin was ranking so high over other trainees (not to say he wasn’t talented but i felt that other trainees stood out more during the missions). As I got to see the behind clips and his interactions with other trainees I got it 💯. While there may have been other trainees who may sing/rap better than him he has such a bright and attractive personality. It’s like the more you see him the deeper you fall. I think he blends so beautifully into the group.

I definitely agree with the takeaway. I also discovered NINE.i through bp, because I was really sadden about Winnie leaving after k vs g group round, and they're really amazing! I hope they get a comeback soon. Tbh, my top 9 wasn't really set in stone, but soooo many eliminated trainees were in it (like Haruto, Chen Kuan Jui or Wumuti for example). My solid first pick until after the dual position battle was actually Bak Doha!! Everyone was kinda making fun of him because of the whole Blue House, but if you actually look at his dance practice of it, he sounded much more confident and was actually harmonizing with himself! I think he simply needed a song where he could get lower vocals or lines with lower tones, and he got just that for Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms. I also agree that Mnet probably didn't rig the votes. HOWEVER they heavily influenced viewers through evil editing and interim checks. I remember when SHanbin was announced as less than 1st place during the last interim check, Tiktok was going crazy 😭 I so hope Wumuti, Haruto, Kuan Jui, and many others can debut!! The top 28 was so talented, honestly. I'd say even Takuto was, but like, less than others (at least imo ^^')

I feel like I'm one of the only people who knew who Nine.i were before BP. I guess that's what i get for being super into nugu boy groups lol. I was so surprised when I recognized Jiho in the first episode of BP. Watching Seowon perform and seeing just how lovely his personality is really solidified my love for Nine.i beyond their music TT I hope they release more music soon!
