Back in the 80's Boz used to occasionally drop into tiny Crested Butte, Colorado, and show up at one of the local saloons like Kochevars, the Eldo or the Grubstake and play with the house band. We always found out about it the next day, so sad. Great guy from what I heard. Saw him at Red Rocks around that time and was highly impressed by his guitar skills, I hadn't realized he was that good.

Yes Boz's brother Mark, looks so much like Him...my funny Boz story: Years back I was in a bar in SF and told my buddy, "that bartender looks just like Boz's brother," she dared Me to go ask...so I strolled up to the ever so quiet bar and looked at him and said, "excuse Me, but you look just like Boz Scaggs brother", he looked at me, smiled, and turned his head to his left and there sitting at the bar was Boz! I almost died...of course I said my 30 second elevator speech "oh my gosh, I am a huge fan of yours! I am so pleased to meet you!", Very shyly Boz says "so how do you know Mark?" I replied, "I don't, I just see him at many of your shows"...."nice meeting you"....out the door I scrambled to the elated high ride home with Boz on my mind for days!

What could Boz have fun with Rosie? Fun with Rosie never lasts too long. Then Boz could go into a 14 minutes version of "Loan Me a Dime" or "I'll be Long Gone"?

Some of y'all are too young to remember Scaggs was a serial no show guy at shows in the late 60's and into the 70's. He was almost as bad as Sly. The he sold out and went with Toto. Lol. Dude did have talent, though.
@gsdsteve8825 Жыл бұрын
Lol! Nonsense! The guys who ended up as Toto were his backup band in the 70's and Silk Degrees was his signature album!
@jg6698 Жыл бұрын
@@gsdsteve8825 yes. Correct. Silk Degrees was disco.
@jg6698 Жыл бұрын
@@gsdsteve8825 as for it being nonsense about him as a no show in the early 70's -it's not. He left a string of cancelations and no shows between leaving Steve Miller and hitting it big. Ask anybody who was around back then. He got me twice.

He has good songs. He basically emulates black people's singing style and arrangements. Like Elvis, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc.
