Got some very good layouts but lost time in some dumb places, and of course using the pistol doesn't help. Very happy with it though!

flies in general are a nightmare man, that's why I always run a celestial wave if I can while I'm in Vanaheim, just pop it and you're already halfway there

Insane run Jesus... the type of room at 10:08 (small room with guardian) is always the one I die at with sanngridr, but you make it look effortless!!

I always give it a chance because of the layout like this one and because you can get more money from more enemies, resulting on better items from a shop and saving time.

Barren asgard crypts yikes , the entire point for me when going down there is normally to collect alot of gold for a big starting boost in stats thanks to the offering room. If its gonna be the barren version , might aswell restart id say Oo

I'd usually restart too but then just decided to go pistol only instead for fun. This WR can easily be improved, but nobody runs this category as far as I know which is understandable.

I've been really into this game lately and your gameplay is superb. Do you have any tips on identifying threats quickly in a room? At 6:08 in particular you saw that Guardian for a split second, did you identify that it was a Guardian room by some other clue in the room or did you just saw him and reacted accordingly? Because those rooms are the ones that give me the most problem, I'd be chilling killing everything for a Guardian to snipe me in the back while I'm doing something else. Love the content!

Thanks! Hard to say if at the time of recording this I noticed him right away or I just went on normally until the first round of shots. Guardians are always in the same spot and will continue looking at you until their cooldown period, so like in the other rooms I wait for them to fire the first time then target them when they're looking away. Avoiding their projectiles are fairly easy and just need a dodge timed correctly to the beat. Fire balls will kill them quickly through the shield, just like some weapons that penetrate it.

What tips do you have to not get hit at random? i'm a pretty good shot so hitting the enemies isnt too bad for me but i really struggle with avoiding the projectiles from the tanky flying enemies. i've been trying to circle the room at all times but it hasnt been going well. im on hellish goll and cant make it work for the life of me. I got to vanaheim 1 once and then flubbed it in vanaheim 2

As you mentioned, circle around and prioritize flying and projectile enemies. Try to be aware at all times of your surroundings. Upgrade damage and range as soon as possible, and replace the pistol quickly too. If you find it, definitely use the flying gloves, it's easy easier that way.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you buy the guaranteed damage/clip ups or even a better weapon from the gunsmith even though you had all the spare coins?

Decided not to upgrade to another weapon when I arrived at the Crypts and had good loot so I'd go for a pistol only run. As for the damage and clip ups that's a good question, could've saved me a bit of time against bosses.
