Notice Joey has the drum set triggered? That's why the camera doesn't shoot joey playin from behind like other shows. Triggers are cool because you have a whole library of sounds for your set and you never have to worry about tuning your drumset, because you're not miking the set itself, just the cymbals.

Joeys disease really kicked in after Paul died, although it could be developing at that point. Also, triggers ARE NOT COOL
