Brad did it again. Every player he picked has potential, some could be stars and some will be future starters. I think Manu, Wingo, and Mahogany could all turn into good players. It’s so nice having competent people running this team.

Downtown Detroit is the most unique and interesting metropolitan area in the country imho. I travel endlessly as an electrical contractor and I was simply gobsmacked by the architecture and old school splendor. Even the urban decay is fascinating in an awe inspiring way. Big fan of that place.

Two years ago we were the worst against the run last year one of the worst against the pass; keeping out of the super bowl and the championship, problem solved. If you notice Brad Holmes usually draft players that were Captains on their college teams. He also draft players that played at a high level before getting injured then, those same injured players work hard to get back from those injuries. Those same injured players work hard to get back to playing at a high level. I believe this mentality is what he means when he says, these players are "wired right". Brad Holmes also seems to value players that are versatile. Players that can play multiple positions, on the football field.

Well done! Tough draft this year with picking later and I just don’t think there were a lot of standout stars! Very good! A- in my book

Realistically, we didn't have 2 firsts and two seconds as we usually do. It doesn't always work that way. At least we are not predictable. We shored up the biggest weakness the long-term CB situation. One CB was comparable to Witherspoon. I would have loved him in the last 7-8 games last year! Are we going to resign Decker next year for 20-30 million. That's what LT's cost? Well, we drafted someone who Fraley can coach up over the next year. No more 400 yard receiving games. OUR QUALITY of DB's has improved exponentially. We didn't have a 3rd or a 4th. So, we live with the results of our limited picks. We have a DL an OL and coaches to train up.

The difference between this regime and past regimes is this regime takes accountability and tells you straight out what’s happening and is honest the past regimes never done that and it speaks volumes to how much success this team has achieved over the past 3-4 years

That is the #1 person in the Lions organization right there.

These Lions show the difference between drafting in Madden vs real life. They aren’t the Lions of old that seemingly got hypnotized by ratings and numbers. They select guys that they want to develop, go to work with everyday, and share long term success with, instead of just use and abuse so they can keep their jobs.

Stare at the 89 on the jersey. Stare at it some more. The 8 has an actual right side up, the top is slightly smaller than the bottom half, fine, no problem. The top hole in the eight is slightly smaller than the hole in the bottom part of the 8, you can see that the font they used has right side up. The 9 is taller on the top instead of the bottom. The 9 is an upside down 6, although that's always true as a general rule of thumb, the font they used would have an actual 9 but they didn't use it. I'm blaming Rod Wood. ;P
