You inspired me! I cut my hair too. You made it look easy but, I had a hard time portioning my hair and my hair kept tangling up. Took me over an hour! I subscribed to "Redbook", from the time I was in college, until they went out of business, a few years, ago. I was sad when that happened. They had 2 or 3 good stories, and articles about just about everything it seemed. Judith Viorst was my favorite contributor. She was just so down to earth! People who raised kids in the '80s and '90s, like I did, may remember her "Alexander" kids' books. My favorite, "Alexander, and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"! She bases the books on her 3 sons, one of whom was Alexander. Anyway, I think you're the first KZfaqr, I've ever heard referring to "Redbook" magazine. Your haircut looks like you got perfect layers, for sure! And you are lucky your hair is so thick! When you had it so short, I would have never guessed it was so thick. By all means, I think you should keep it longer, if it's not too much bother! It looks so pretty! Good to see you posting so frequently, lately!! 😊

I have the same Glenda. A lot of hair. And it turned curly when I turned 66! Lol. I love that you are showing this! You are brave and have a great confidence in yourself. The price of hair color is what has impacted me. I get cheap cuts, but wow even Loreal at Walmart has doubled I think. You look wonderful and I appreciate that you inspire me. 🌸💇‍♀️

I keep one of those shower combs in the shower, and use it to spread the conditioner through my hair while removing any loose hair. Not sure about you, but I lose enough hair that it looks like a little mouse in the corner of the shower. ha Then when I get out and run a brush through my hair, I get another mouse. Yet, my head is full of hair, no balding or thinning spots. Looks like you achieved a nice cut. Yes, your hair is layered nicely. Looking forward to part 2. Thanks for sharing, and hopefully others can save money by doing this themselves. 💗

For anyone who does not have a handy tape measure, typically, an inch is appx from the knuckle of your thumb to the tip of your thumb ( give or take a 1/4" ). Not quite sure how "scientific" this really is, but it's accurate on my hand. ✋️

I have started cutting my own hair I watched videos on KZfaq as to how to cut my own hair.I like it better they always cut my hair too short when I go to a salon.

I got dark circles under my eyes when I was diagnosed with asthma.

I ve been cutting my hair ever sense I retired for about 18 years I keep kind of pixie cut but long on the top my hair is always been fine but as I near the 80 mark it getting thnner too. I am 77 years old. I never did to save money I did it because I couldn't find a hairdresser who could do as good as I did it myself. I did buy $2.00 hair cutting scissors about 18 years a go at beauty shop still using them to this day. lol

Oh Hell honey I've been cutting my hair forever

You seem so sweet.bmy daughter has dark circles under her eyes as well and she keep asking me why. And I don't have any answers for her. She's had them since she's been born.

Dr. Mandell video here on KZfaq says take vitamin e jel capsule cut it open or stick a pin in capsule rub small amount on dark circles at bedtime. I've had comments about my dark circles I don't need people commenting believe me I know all about my dark circles. PCP thinks mine are from allergies.

My Uncles wife, Aunt Loretta, had very bad dark under eye circles, always made her look run down.
