As far as I know, you may die in India, unless you have money to cure yourself or your family. Preventive medicine culture in India to me, does not exist. And that would inevitably reduce the longevity of average and underprivileged Indians because I truly believe and campaign that an efficient public health system is a country's invaluable heritage. On many occasions, I've heard the average and underprivileged Indians have to look for crowdfunding when it comes to advanced health care or life-threatening diseases, which to me is a violation of your fundamental right as a human. If a government genuinely care about its citizens then basic and advanced public health care is a must. It is part of human dignity. Nobody should be discarded or go untreated because he/she has no money to pay hospital bills. That's pure violence and a violation of basic human rights.

95% of Indian don't buy medical insurance. It always boggles me to hear westerners talk about India as though they understand India and Indian when they have actually only seen 1% kind of Indians working in cities. Just by visiting villages for a year or working with Indians in a company, the westerners tend to consider they have understood anything at all abt Indians. I mean, even Indians city dwellers don't know India whose majority dwell in rural areas or towns.
