Phil definitely has one of the most insane voices in metal, from high pitched hair metal squeals, to deep growls. My favorite Pantera track Is "By Demons Be Driven" with one of the best metal riffs ever, which sadly is very over looked by the reaction community. Would love to see Lex loose it over that one 😎🤘

Lex, I hope you will attend a heavy metal concert someday. Like a religious festival, a good concert is a transcendental experience. Up to now, your heavy metal experience has been limited to sitting on a sofa with Brad, listening to the music on your PC. Wait until you are in a crowd with hundreds, or even thousands, of like minded people, being pummeled by a massive sound system. The rest of the world falls away and there is only the music. 🤘😊

The story behind this song is we were opening for Megadeth, and there was a guy that was flipping us off the whole show and so we stopped the show. And I was like, 'Listen, in case you haven't noticed there's 18,000 people who really dig what we're doing. You're the only one doing that stupid shit without even having to egg the crowd on.' Ten guys just jumped the guy and beat the shit out of him. His dad called the manager after all the lawsuits and this and that, and basically said, 'Give me five minutes with that Phil Anselmo guy. I want to whup his ass.' "[1]

Good interview floating around with the singer talking about his past, and he was like “how dare you” kinda thing. So this happened where he was getting sued, for an incident that happened at a show, and they try and throw shade at him. The father was angry and said ill beat him up. Kinda like 5 min alone with this guy. And he talked to someone from Pantera, (and said no…you don’t want that.) And the song came out from that. In some way.

@@theskins2600 Yes it is, although I gave the shortened version as I didn't feel like typing all that out that someone else may have already. Try doing some research? Here ya go since I doubt you could handle that kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nM2iiL2CnrasZKs.html

Guys I'd recommend lyric videos always. The lyrics tell much more about the band than some video that is usually either a simulated live show or mix of that and random shots. I'd watch the music videos separately

This is indeed about beating someone up. He wrote this song cause he was getting heckled at a show. This is his answer.

One thing about Pantera they will make a fan out of rap fans because they were so good , I was a metal head and had a buddy that only listened to rap and didn't like my music but one day I gave him a copy of Pantera and he started listening to them and jamming out to them on the regular.

Pantera is great music for many different moods and activities. For me it helps while cleaning and when super angry because punching ur boss in the face is frowned upon lol. A lot of older music were designed for listening all the way thru. Especially vinyl. That is why songs fade out or have long intros. So the real experience is when u put the album or cd or whatever on and listen track to track and then you usually understand the title of the project. Love yall. 👍🏼💜🙃🌙💪🙏🏻

I will never compare anyone to Pantera . Ever . But if there's anyone who can bring the groove and energy, IMO, its Slaughter to prevail. I highly recommend them.

ozzfest '96 giants stadium, nj. during pantera's set i was in the pit, close to the front stage rail. to my left were a skinhead lookin dude and a linebacker lookin black dude, he was huge lol. they were both dunk as hell and headbutting eachother hard back and forth. the heavier each pantera song got, they harder they headbutted eachother. the next thing i saw was after a hard headbutt, both dudes had split eachothers' heads open and they both bled out from their foreheads down to their eyes. they looked at eachother and said- dude my fuckin head hurts!, then they bust out laughin, gave eachother a bearhug and we continued to pit lol. every metal show ive been to always had a huge metal crowd and there were homies in the pit with us. the moral of the story is- music doesnt give a shit what color you are- we're all brothers of metal \m/

Love you guys btw, and I enjoy watching your reactions to songs I grew up with. Fun fact, just after the 5 minute mark of the song, 5:06 roughly, is when that ending riff starts,5 Minutes Alone....always was curious about the timing
