Follow along with my friend TJ and I to Indianapolis to see and bunch of guitars and amps and whatnot. Lots of Les Pauls, Strats, and Teles, but also lots of vintage gear we don't see very often. Gibson amps a-plenty. Tons of pre-CBS Fenders. Plenty of oddball stuff to gawk at. Stay to the end to find out what I bought and how much I paid!

Prices on the guitars seemed a bit insane but there were a few amps there that I thought were very fairly priced . In particular that early 70’s silver face Super Reverb. I’ve had a few of them and they all sounded great. Asking 1k and could have probably haggled him down to $850-$900 for a steal. Thanks for the video !

We might have some shows here in the UK, but we are not going to find much in the way of 50s and 60s Gibson and Fender amps. Not so many interesting old guitars either. we just didn’t have the money to buy this gear back in the day and it wasn’t imported in any numbers. I’m kind of jealous of what the Americans have going on here.

U used to buy and trade stuff all of the time at the Indiana Music Company when it was still around. I met a lot of cool guys who worked there, some of which are still around and I talk to them via various means of social networking. I wish I could've met you there. Gear and guitar prices are crazy now days! There were definitely some gems in there though. Those two T15’s were priced great. I used to have a T60 that I kick myself for getting rid of. They’ve gotten super expensive here lately. I thought that was a GA35 RVT when you first filmed it, but it was a 30. That’s another amp I wish I’d never gotten rid of. Hope you’re feeling better!

I owned a Vox Mando Guitar back in the 90s. I sold it to Norman's Rare Guitars for $900 bucks. It had the original leather strap and leather case from the 1960s. I don't regret selling it, I had fat fingers. The next week I saw Daniel Lenois playing it on MTV accompanying Melissa Ethridge on the song Maggie May, so that was interesting.

Hey Brad thank you for the video funny I just came across it in my feet now and it's over a month go figure I have your you know you for notifications but it is what it is at least I found it. The beginning of the video you mentioned an epiphone electrifa and it's funny because I don't know if you're talking about the amp or if you were talking about the guitar cuz of course I can't see or someone can let me know I just be kind of interested. In 1982 I say are in Providence Rhode Island with my parents going to a yard sales there was a yard sale where they had this that look like a white color is blonde wood but it could have been a laminate on the top it was a elector zephyr amplifier so it went with that guitar I think they might have sold them as a set yeah that amp is pretty amazing of course it didn't have it had an electromagnet didn't have to type of Magnus we have today yeah clean you know it did clean really well lol it's funny cuz I sometimes but plug my 1982 I've been playing a guitar for like a year I had a Gibson SG standard 1969 I bought used and then a little while later I bought the PV decade which was a 10 watts solid state practicing don't know what size to speak it was but order from a friend so like 20 bucks or something and that's what I rocked for years till I moved to San Francisco but yeah I would plug the debt the TV into the Epiphone amp and that got things moving a little or I would run it through my tea act sound on sound you know big wheel tape recorder and I would get like a tape tape delays and stuff it has a lot of fun but again once again I'm off to the races with the comment and really all I wanted to know was whether or not the Epiphone was an amp or a guitar I would wonder what the guitar look like I never know when I was moving to San Francisco a lot got a bunch of stuff that was going to be shipped to my house including my motorcycle my new place in in San Francisco everything was up in Rhode Island at this time and they broke into the loading area loading dock they I say they who the hell knows who they were they're probably employees that's where my dad boxing everything up and they got my my antique was like 120 years old and 80 something a brass bed you know foot and head and they stole the amplifier yeah everything else got there kind of hard to steal a 650 lb motorcycle LOL anyway what the hell would that have to do with any of this I'm sorry I'm just all over the place all right I'm going to stop now should have stopped after the 3rd sentence sincerely about the blind bedroom guitarist

That wasn't a Les Paul custom silver burst that was a new Epiphone prophecy in Olive burst

did that Gibson have those flip out crank style machine heads? I picked up a set of those once not knowing they had the cranks, brand new still in packaging

From that period, it very well might have those.

3:23 This is a 1959 it is own by Allen Mance . You'll see him to the left of it in the chair . A few years ago he had a store in Dayton , Ohio called Play it Again Music . It was right next to place I was receiving lessons from the great Mike Overly . I would come out of lessons and into Allen's store . When I saw the vintage guitars he had for sale I thought they were fake . I couldn't believe the selection . Allen is a good dude and to have another guitar/instrument hunter in mid/southern Ohio is a blessing . We already have Gary Dick of Gary's Classic Guitars and Mike Reeder of Mike's Music . I think vintage guitars are for investors and the well off . IMO current working musicians get more respect and look cooler when they improvise with the budget stuff and create killer tones . Playing the blues on $100k Gibson through a $10k Fender amp oxymoronic

That 59 burst was owned by Capricorn Records. It was their "studio" guitar. It has an original Capricorn Records sticker on the case, and is stamped "Property of Capricorn Records" under the neck pickup. Just ponder the hands that have played that gem!!

Hippy Pick guy should have someone overseas hand-make the picks for cheap and ship them to him so he can concentrate on marketing. He could make it work.
