This doesn't fall under the term knock off. Its unlicensed and third party, but not knock off.

As someone who has experience with unauthorized Transformers toys, I feel confident saying this Batman is an unlicensed knock off. But being a knock off nowadays doesn't automatically mean cheap and crummy. As evidenced by this video.

I'd wager this is an unlicensed figure, otherwise Batman's name would be plastered all over the packaging.

It is indeed unlicensed. There's an Arkham Origins Extreme Weather suit Batman by another company as well.

@@casual_bill8749 I'm hoping for both more Batman and non-Batman figures. I love the McFarlane stuff but I do think there needs to be more of a balance. I'd really love to see him give us a Brainiac, Miracle & Barda, Steel, Superboy (Connor and/or young Jonathan) and a true Doomsday figure.

@@misterelom I've fell out of love with the line for the most part. Todd just seems to do what's cool and relevant and I've just been let down too much. I can't believe Mcfarlane had the chance to do a batman in his own style and he didn't give him a huge cape like spawn. And the thing is I want dc characters that look like they jumped out the comics like Hasbro with marvel legends, there's just something about Todds figures they don't translate as well

I think this a case of an Unlicensed 3rd Party Figure, Transformers gets tons of stuff like this, and in terms of Comic Book characters it's usually hot toys esq 1/6 scale figures based off movie versions, So it's interesting seeing a mezco 1/12 style figure in this category

Brad accidentally stumbled on the really cool world of unlicensed product. I just recently got a 1:12 Phoenix Joker from Patriot Studios that rivals anything Mezco has put out.

Nice little bags but for $100+...and the size. Thanks for saving us the $. The Mezco Gotham By Gaslight looks like the definitive version for me (would like both but, gotta choose sometimes).

Amazing looking figure! From what I see here: Pros: Detail, badass cape & utility belt, accessories Cons: Scale. The Icons figures having such a small scale was a deal breaker for me originally & seeing this being the same scale is a little disappointing. Still though, wouldn't prevent me from buying it cause the pros outweigh the cons. Great review Brad!

Interesting figure. Wished I got the preorder myself. Btw I think the last sentence was supposed to say "faithful to the style and image of the dark knight. " They shouldn't cut a word in the middle and just put it on the next line.

Yeah this is definitely a third-party/unlicensed figure, but a lot of third parties can turn out to be amazing alternatives for figures of characters the larger companies can't/won't make. I do wonder how they got to put the wire all along the bottom of the cape without rounding out the pointed bits.

Why are some calling it a "knock off" ? Where is the real product its "knocking off " ? Lol it's just a third party unlicensed figure.. not sure of the legalities but it's not a "knock off"

The whole thing is tiny say compared to a mezco. The heads are pretty small though yes and I was worried, but it looks better in hand.

Best price I found was ebay seller sc_store9999. $98 with free shipping for the Deluxe Edition of this figure so $107 with tax. Other sellers are closer to $120 before tax.
