They were working on Braid: Anniversary Edition, a new programming language, a massive Sokoban game and another secret unannounced game all at the same time I don't think they have the resources to also port the witness at the same time, maybe if braid does well...

Yeah, I played through it years ago on PS4 but would definitely double dip for a Switch version

Limbo came out on Android years ago but we never got inside but thanks to Netflix Subscription I can able to play Braid on Android

they gave mario strikers battle league a 9/10. I don't think I can trust any of their opinions regarding nintendo-published games. third-party games are fair tho

I'd venture to guess that at least 10% of the fan base plays with blinders on, alongside an active "separate the art from the artist" mentality.

This number can be confusing. I 100% the Anniversary Edition and there is 16 new puzzle-worlds (similar to original game). Other 24 levels are levels releated to commentary. They also include some kinda-puzzles you need to solve to actually unlock some of those 16 puzzles, and it was pretty fun exploring them, but yea, its not like levels in original Braird.

Johnathan Blow (the creator of the game) is a bit of a known jerk, my game dev professor even called him out in class lol

@@lssjgaming1599 a jerk is the nicest way of putting it if you know the things he has said over the years, including his treatment of japanese game developers and the games they create.

He was just disappointed that people played it only for the gameplay and not the philosophical thoughts it conveyed which is a reasonable complaint. It’s like feeding pigs jam. It’s like playing Getting Over It and ignoring all the philosophical aspects of it

@@jamesrule1338 ​ I've study computer science. In my class there were 80 people. 6 of them were female. None of the females ended up as programmer. I've been in industry more than a decade. I think less than 10% of my colleagues were females. And very few of them actually coming from computer science background. For example this year we hired some grads. All of them are female. None of them are from computer science background. So yeah. Woman has less interest in technology than men. Instead of upsetting about this people should look how to make technology to appealing to young girls. Read his tweets. Looks like once again people took the stuff he said out of context and cancelled a person for no good reason. I really hate this cancel culture. You cannot make high level intellectual converstation without being cancelled.

What? It never was. It just a bizzare statement. Blow just took mario as a foundation, because he though it was easier to explore rewind related puzzles when the basis of the game is simple and knonw to most people. It explained better in the commentary (and in some older talks)

It’s funny how Jonathan Blow causes such an insecure reaction with people. If you actually listen to the guy, he’s not pretentious and he’s one of the most skilled programmers and game designers there is. The real thing to criticize about him is that he has some bad political opinions and likes Elon Musk.

I agree. Its a fine little game, in the end though it was just Mario with time rewind. The lore didn't make it any better than that. Same with Fez, though that had a lot more to do with its creator.

Yeah I agree. It's fun and worth a buy but it's not the second coming of Jesus like the games creator seems to think.

It's a good game but the people that were saying it was going to dethrone the likes of Mario were a new level of delusional.

It's completely optional by the looks of it. At 4:38, they even warn you to finish the game normally before starting the commentary.

@@teneesh3376 never played the game so im still curious about it. And I didn’t say I would outright not buy it. But I have the tendency of not supporting stuff by problematic people. Though, it’s fair to say he hasn’t done anything outright awful, that is a good point. Still, unsure if I want to support it. I’ll think on it
