This is so lovely, I literally had this conversation with my sister and my friend a week ago. I worry about the perception people carry around about me, I know who I am and confident about it but I don’t like people wrongfully defining me. I’ve accepted that only Gods knowledge of me matters. I can’t control other peoples mind and I trust him to defend me when I can’t defend myself.

I love the little chat about perception. Honestly, I think we all struggle with it. But like you said, we have assurance that our identity is in Christ Jesus alone. I think it's also very beautiful that you recognize that your worth and identity as a child of GOD, is in and comes from Him alone. I've been talking to the Holy Spirit a lot about it and I've come to understand that, i can't determine what people would think about me. The best thing to do, is to live right, that is, following what the scripture says on Believer's lifestyle and conduct. It's hard to not put to mind what people think about you, but it's better to make that decision and always strive to see that God's opinion about you is excellent, if not, you might soon turn out to be a people-pleaser.
