this machine is for braiding soft rope which has a core of straight rope and then many other fine threads braided around it. Look at ropes uses by climbers and boats to see how this machine makes ropes that are strong but very soft and bendy. This machine seems to be made in small Chinese or Vietnamese workshop?

Of course not. Climbers do not use rope with steel balls in the core.

They have a power strip right there, but decided not to use it. If a human can power the thing by turning a crank, that can't be a very large motor with huge power draw.

It turns strings into ropes that transforms into steel balls in the machine.

The steel balls feed in the braids through the scoop on the top, as the braid wraps around them. This pulls the braided sleeve down and out of the way, otherwise you'd have to manually pull it through.

The machine braids strings into a super heavy rope, with ball bearings at the core. You dump your ball bearings into the hopper on top. There's just a few now because it is only a short demo.
