Yes, they are so awesome 😍 They are dexterous 🤓 I wish I was could braid/cornrow my own hair as well as they do, but I'm impatient 😂 my arm gets tired, and I always get confuse and forget which hair goes over what. It's frustrating.

I can't explain how happy I am that braids are coming back in style... They used to be my go to when I was younger! Definitely will be trying this look.. I want to take out these faux locs that I just put in my hair now! Ugh! But I'm so happy I'm finding these beautiful braids before the summer

Thank you for the support, it means a lot sis. As a little girl my mom (who is south african by the way) kept my hair in braids once we came to America. So it was honestly fun braiding my hair again and adding the beads just reminded me of when she and I used to do this years ago.

Thank you for watching the video. You wouldn't believe how many times I hear this very thing. I said it before but I'll mention it again. I got a bald spot from somebody who braided my hair and did it wayyyyyyy too tight. Since the bald spot is right in the middle of my head about an inch in from my hair line I was really really motivated to learn how to braid to try and conceal the damage done if I ever wanted to wear braids.

You rock and took it waaaay back to the 70s. We use to rock it back then. We use to wear cornrows and beads all over our head no tension whatsoever and no hair loss. I use to braid all the neighborhood kids hair that leaved on my block. My front, back porch and kitchen was my salon. Opened my first bank account when I was 12. If you know how to braid you will never go hungry. Keep it natural away from chemicals and heat try to braid your hair with no tension at all. Look up Patrice Rushen back in the seventies she is an artist and look at her braids and beads that is what we use to do back then. She use to sing the song "If Only For One Night" waaay before Luther Vandross and a song "Forget Me Nots".

@KerstiPitre
@KerstiPitre 7 жыл бұрын
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to achieve it sis. If your hair is thicker then I'd suggest reducing the amount of braids in front by 2. That should give you enough parting space to still Achieve a cute braid pattern and individuals in the back half of your head.
@TheeWeekndWarrior
@TheeWeekndWarrior 7 жыл бұрын
Kersti Pitre Trying to get my hair sleek in a cornrow without blow drying can be difficult. It can even look dry no matter the amount of gel 😂😂. But I in fact added MORE braids in the front. Gave me a stitched look rather than having too much hair exposed on each side of the cornrow. Again beautiful style😘

we should keep a lot of this information to ourselves that's how people's culture gets exploited lol just saying...soon everyone's gonna know everything and try to make money off of us again and again and again. We need to keep some things to ourselves since they don't care about us. But I respect all of your hard work and how that came out you did a great job. This isn't to target you at all I'm just making a general statement of KZfaqrs may be exposing too much of our culture that by the time we're done we ain't gonna have nothing new to show because we failed to protect our own. We are an innovative race but we are also targeted and information is the most useful thing one could have. That's why the supremacist's value it so much.
@LustMuiscProductions
@LustMuiscProductions 7 жыл бұрын
Not trying to say we shouldn't share it amongst our community, Because that's our basic right, however, it would be good to find a way where it can only stay in our community. The money will come and go but trust me protecting our culture is more important if you want to keep it alive.
@Imani..
@Imani.. 7 жыл бұрын
Ticisa Dalrymple I see what you're saying but remember we as a people can think outside of the box and have created almost everything. If they take this we will just come up with something new and better and they will have a hard time keeping up🤣
@LustMuiscProductions
@LustMuiscProductions 7 жыл бұрын
@Imani Imani I understand and I do agree to some extent. However, if there's money in it, people will continue to copy and the cycle will keep going and the oppression will stay the same because we're feeding into the growth of other people's prosperity as we keep innovating and this has been happening for years because we fail to protect our own not on purpose, but because there's a system intentionally built for us to stay down. That's the hole we're currently stuck in due to the black race being "asleep". It's almost like generational institutionalized hypnotism. In addition products, trends, social constructions, all of it is used as a mirror to blind you from whatever else the supremacists are doing. So don't be fooled. Stay woke. And I will say it one last time, Information is a very powerful thing.
