Hi there, Ron! This is going to be a supervised activity. Otherwise your pup is likely to chomp the tube entirely. This is something that you can do with your dog. If you’re looking for a toy that requires less supervision, something like a Kong or a nylon bone could be an option for you! Thanks for watching ~Ken

I did something similar and got my 5 month old into it just yesterday. And he liked it. Today I put out a bowl of food and he didn't kill the whole thing in seconds! I been trying to find ways that he would eat slower and I was surprised with how quick and effective this method is already. I hope this continues for my Chewbacca boy

update: So Chewbacca loves his ball that dispenses food. He loves the square water bottle I filled with a little food after putting holes big enough in for the food to come out. And he hates the round bottle and destroyed it quickly. lol

why not just use a soft drink bottle ? same thing and more common aka P.E.T bottle

Buy a container Whit tennis balls trow away the container ! Make some round guts in the tennis balls and put the treats in there . And fore the haters please don't gut yourself .; ) Works great also

My dog hates kibble but she does live rice that’s not good for her health so I added kibble in this n she ate her whole meal from this I love it

A favorite game that Benicio likes playing, is hide and seek with "cookies." Another one that he likes is the Nina Ottosson bone game. Brain games like the muffin tray and others help teach your dog that he can be more confident in life. And not only can you use these games with your dogs but it is entertaining for the cat audience sitting at a distance!

The "hide and seek" with treats is a really great game to play, and it doesn't require any prep! It's so nice to see a dog build some confidence while playing these games. I'm glad it also provides some entertainment value for your other four-legged family member :) ~Ken

Thank you Ken for yet another great video! Can this game be played with any breed, or are some breeds like my Beagle that is used for hunting, for some reason not supposed to play these kinds of games? Weird question maybe, but I’ve heard from some who have hunting dogs that you could “ruin” their hunting skills playing games like this .... which I find strange. Any input would be highly appreciated as this is my first dog and I don’t know how to respond to comments like that. I would love to play games like this because she seems to really enjoy it. Thank you!

Hi there, Tone! We have heard similar thoughts from people, but in my experience dogs have a little more situational awareness than most people expect. For example, all of the herding breeds that come to us don’t lose their “eye” or drive. The retrievers never lose their ability to “send out” after we’ve taught them to stay close. I would think your Beagle wouldn’t lose her hunting skills through playing games. We have had several treeing hounds who still are able to bay and tree their prey while still understanding to walk on a loose leash! So not to worry. Great question though! Happy Training ~Ken

my dog does not really get excited for dog kibble ! so when i make this can I put a few treats in there with the kibble so she will still get the kibble but she will role it around for the treats . also i thought this would get a dog more excited about it because they will try to get the dog treats out .

Hi there, Squishy Kawaii! You should help your dog to understand the game a little bit. Stay with them and if they start to bite the container, then you can help them learn how to play with it properly. The great part about this kind of game is that you can create the same thing with an empty water bottle, or a similar container, and it doesn't cost you anything! Have fun, Happy Training! ~Ken

Took all of 5min for my dog to destroy a similar store bought toy designed for large / heavy chewers, and she is only 35lbs!!!

The only thing he doesn't destroy fast is pig hooves..they are hollow, I put treats in them and freeze them. But when he is biting them, it sounds like a gunshot going off.
