That DMN network have been explored significantly in recent years as the target for rTMS therapies related to negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Experiments showed that by stimulating DMN, the areas of brain outside the DMN exhibited increased entropy as per fMRI i.e. more like in a healthy subject's brain. This is due to the fact that DMN acts as a hub, a mediator for most of inter-segment communications. But unfortunately, no new protocol came out of this research. We still have protocols for depression from 2002 and...nothing else. Depression protocols focused on DLPFC left and right segments, some research claiming DLPFC-R stimulation helps with PTSD while DLPFC-L is for depression, allegedly.

You said that they haven't lead to any treatment outcomes - what about meditation? Meditation has been shown to alter how people use these networks

I'm not saying that medications or other treatments don't have effects on brain networks. What I am saying is that our knowledge of networks has yet to lead to novel approaches for treating ADHD. Meditation was around for millennia before people adapted and applied it to ADHD, they didn't start using it because it was known to affect neural networks.
