Three years late, I know, but still felt like leaving a comment. I live in South Africa, and due to the high crime rate, just about every home has 3 walls around, 2 to the sides and 1 in the back surrounding the plot, then a palisade at the front. The are about 2 - 3 meters tall and the palisades normally have very deadly spikes on top. This is a very save environment especially towards Zombies and I doubt they would be able to penetrate the fence. In some cases, there are no palisades but only walls, with a covered gate which means the Zombies won't be able to see into the yard. After that, all homes are equipped with a security grille door in front of the main front door, therefore, adding to the safety. And lastly, there are hundreds of shopping malls and grocery stores within walking distance from every home, insuring a decent amount of food that might last a couple of years, plus, there are a few garden shops that sell seeds and other things like saplings which can be used to create a vegetable garden.

in my opinion, a pretty good place to be during a zombie apocalypse is a sport stadium is some kind. preferably one that’s either baseball or cricket. The field is round, so you can stay on the sides so you can’t be cornered by a couple of zombies easily, and there’s also multiple areas and rooms where you can find equipment. If you lucky there might be something like a spare bat or some extra body protection used for playing the sports. I don’t know much about baseball, but in cricket you have leg pads for protection, and there’s cricket stumps that you should be able to find along with a bat. The leg pads are great so you don’t have to focus on not getting bitten there as much, and if something happens that could get you legs injured it will be easier to run away. Also, there’s many stairs and chairs all over the place, all obstacles themselves and also perfect for making your own obstacles to fight off zombies. Also, cricket balls are perfect for slamming into zombies faces. The rooms all around the stadium will be great for keeping things from supplies, zombies, or even yourself in. And, if you ever want to check if you think there’s a zombie or a human down on the field or in the stands, there’s a bunch of cameras you can check that should be connected to the large screens at the stadium. In my opinion, it’s a great place to be if you are part of a team or going solo.

You could just move to a far away island with high defences like walls with saws, an escape route, and a lot of defence towers. Within the island, there is a HUGE PERSONAL BUNKER, a lab for the antidote, an internet tower, a power source, a bunch of armor for explorations, a hospital, a farm, and a survival practice field

My recommendation: -Close, lock, and bar the windows with thick boards and lots of nails. -Have that reinforced door cover in front of every other entrance, then lock all the doors. -Have a treadmill on the stairs. -Upstairs, in a secure room, have a bed-bunker. Inside there, you can put carpet, a nice bed, rations, a TV, some gaming equipment, maybe a friend with a sleeping bag, and, of course, a rifle or some pistols.

Yeah but your legs would eventually get exhausted from peddling and you would eventually have to stop, and that gives the zombies an advantage because you would be too tired to run, or continue peddling. I would say get a car but gasoline expires within a few years. And I never really got why people put boards and barb wire on their car because it gives the zombies to hang onto.

1. Staircase Treadmill Fast moving zombies - some will be fast enough to get to the top. Slow moving zombies - slide down and pile on top of each other and eventually just climb up. Con - you need electricity to run it.

Spotlight. Set up decoy homes that will be the noise and light bait to keep them away from your place. If they have even rudimentary sight then you could overwhelm the senses. Lead them to the area you want them to be. You could also use stadiums as a place to lure them into a corral.

Too clunky - Using Kevlar limb guards is a suitable alternative Number 6 - No. - Horse are actually better in the sense that they can travel where cars can't - Roads will be blocked - Running over / hitting a zombie with a modded car will more often injure it than kill it - Not actively available to the average civilian Number 7 - Not actively available to the average civilian - Fuel Number 8 - Impenetrable but there are issues with food, water, power - You're trapped inside if they ever do bust in - Generators are very noisy Number 9 - Good, but the money spent on zombieproofing every window could go to either a tornado shelter or a stilted house which would provide better protection

A better alternative for fossil fuel generators is to install solar panels, then again, that’s expensive af, and even then you are still trapped underground, your only hope really is to hope the US military , First Responders, Counter Terrorist units, and NATO to stop the zombie threat

If the Bunker owner was rich he could literally make his bunker a maze...and have over 100 Doors until the Zombies Get to him...and he would have high Security...so small Turrets...traps or something like that to kill or damage the Zombies...and well he would have Weapons near him/in the same rooms he is living in...and he should bring ALOT and i mean ALOT of Food (and Minimize the usage...) and the food that i recommend are: Rice:Its the first Option cause it wont expire...Quickly Powdered milk...gonna be honest...i was never a fan of Powdered milk but hey...u gotta do what u gotta do right ? Honey:I dont know if this is weird or not but i had a Bootle of Honey that i didnt touch for literally 9 Months and it didnt Expire...so this is nice. I heard that Canned Tuna stays good for years...so yea that is NICE. Olives:if u didnt open the bootle they will stay unexpired FOR AGES...so stack em up bois. Instant coffee...it wont spoil... Stack on all of this (Like 30 Bags/Box of each thing will do) and you'll survive....only if u are rich thought (or if someone u know did it and Invited u)
