20 Things Confident People Don't Do

There are certain things confident people don’t do and that sets them apart from everyone else. It’s important to understand that true confidence greatly differs from arrogance. And there are certain things that distinguish one from the other.
Learning how to be confident is an important part of self improvement. When people believe in themselves and their abilities, there are things they simply don’t do. For example, they don’t over-focus on appearance. That’s because when someone is self confident, they have a healthy relationship with their appearance. They don't try to be someone they're not, because they understand that self acceptance is a vital element of self confidence.
Furthermore, self assured people get their sense of satisfaction from their own accomplishments. They understand that success comes with continuously improving their strengths. They’re also able to accept their own weaknesses, and instead of complaining, they just put more time and effort into endeavors where they know they'll have more likelihood of success.
When it comes to self confidence, truly confident people tend to have the upper hand. Not only do they make things happen, but they inspire others as well. So learn to embrace these behaviors yourself to increase your odds for success. This, in turn, will lead to more confidence.

I think it was correct BUT even confident ppl have their off-days, it's impossible to be all that all the time cuz life happens! AND cultural differences! One point ypu said "confident ppl don't ask for permission, they go after it" (something like that) Yes and No, depending on where I am. In Denmark i dont need to ask for simple thing as going to bath room or stand up while ppl are rating and say excuse me! BUT if I was in Japan it would be rude & disrespectful to not to ask or say excuse me, they see it as lack of knowledge, class and manor! So some of your point can't be aknowleged in other culture, this Is western society and again some western countries just do things differently! I agree with all what you're saying, but 1. Even confident ppl have bad days 2. Cultural differences! But it's a great list and I agree on most. But we gotta also aknowleged ppl are different and for some means pisting a selfie confident to them (maybe they weren't confident before) or it's their way to show I'm okay! My reason to do it is my past as an addict, when I don't post my selfie with my dog for a week ill receive dusin of Calls "are you okay"? And that's because I never posted Me in the past life as an addict, and I'm an artist and express myself through pics! But I know what ypu mean, but ppl who post their diner, car or vaca often shows lack of selfconfident! See what I got/went to! But Im not going to show myself cuz I don't like my appaerence! Im not sure if you get what i mean, but there are there gray areas these lists forget, and some ppl might feel bad cuz they're at the beginning of their Journey to become selfconfident / building self worth! Needed to point it out to those, as I fear some feel a set back cuz they do certain things! Overall awesome list, love your channel! Xoxo monstermom 😁✌️

Tonia Mendonca Hi Tonia. Are we as human beings in a society completely independent like islands? Isn't it about getting a clear grip about a problem and acting decisively? I believe in a SWOT analysis, strategy and action. Confidence is a by -product. It will be there as a guest because you've got the formula right.

I always find the biggest signs someone is insecure is when they're loud, obnoxious and full of their own self-importance. They're always bragging about their 'accomplishments' and 'talents' and things they have done in their lives but you never see any proof of it ... they're just full of 'stories'. Where as the most successful and gifted people I know are the most humble, kind and down to earth people. Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud.

True confidence is quiet and humble - it's not loud, aggressive and boastful. Confident people follow their moral principles and do what they believe to be right, even though it may not make them 'popular' in the short run. Forgiveness and a willingness to try to be kind and on good terms with all people is also a sign of confidence and integrity.

@@rvind000 There's always room to improve in one field or the other. Like... do you know about finance, sports, psychology, history, religion, technology, etc. If u are confident u can accept that u don't know all about the world - u rather listen to experts/more experienced people in certain fields to learn from them. Like... I'd love to take advice from Donald Trump concerning finances and money, i'd also love to take advice from Elon Musk concerning tech, or from the Dalai Lama concerning religion, or from Mike Tyson concerning boxing. Because I know there's a ton of great people out there that know a ton more than I do in any field. One should simply be humble and listen when it's obvious he knows shit about something, never be arrogant or think u'll easily surpass people in a field or even come close to them. People with low self-esteem on the other hand cannot accept mentors, they'd rather talk shit about them, belittle them behind their back and so on

I am 77 years young and at my age of 17 I decided what a wanted to be, and was was confident that I was able to achieve my goals..yes it took hard work and education but I had dream, my dream be my vision and the vision became reality..... the result.... I always loved my work and enjoyed the challenges and resolve them..... and there were many in my profession.... yes I am a sort of retired, but love woodworking so know I build furniture and Cabinets.... no no not at a high speed but as enjoyment, doing the designs drawings (custom work), the piece I envisioned..... I am a very content and active person and enjoy my life to the fullest extend possible, expecting to reach and celebrate my 100 birthday (my Mom past way when she was 102) but 100 be fine.......and hope and plan to do many more things and plenty of nice furniture pieces, (this is my signature to be left behind), for the pieces I build are for life as I pass on to eternity......yes I just love my life and its ups and downs!!!!!!!

I don't look bad, I watch my weight and try to take care of myself properly. I don't use drugs or alcohol. I smoke cigarettes and love coffee. I guess you can say I'm not like a lot of 59 years olds out here. I did attempt to have friends, but I guess my lifestyle just didn't go along with theirs. I stay alone because I'm a leader and not a follower. My boundaries are totally intact. I don't compromise and I don't apologize for others mistakes, just mine. Thank you for the great video. Khan Mehamood. I agree. In order for a person to be truly confident, the person has to know who s/he is and set firm boundaries regarding what is not authentic to him/ her. Most things from other people will be inauthentic to the individual and will be dismissed by the confident person- and that will tick other people off. Hence, most people confident enough to succeed in life actually tick more people off than 'make them feel good.' Ask any actor who's won a major award how many of their friends actually congratulate them for the confidence to go and get it.

I have never done the Facebook thing. Or any social media thing! I like my privacy & I’m not interested in other’s sharing their lifestyle on FB. I actually don’t believe most FB post that I’ve been shown, mostly it’s people showing off, I hate showy flashy people. I’ve never done a selfie as I find it’s too vain & this is just my personal opinion. I also prefer my own company, certain people just talk talk talk, I like to listen & if I want to chat know that other’s want to listen & care. And I will not do or go anywhere I don’t want to go. My true loved one’s are my life, I can be myself with them. I take myself out of situation’s where I don’t want to be, it feels good, I’m in control. I’m confident, happy with my looks, independent & content with my lot, but it’s other’s that can cause stress, so my suggestion, just a suggestion to a happy life, do what makes you happy 😊 Don’t believe these KZfaqrs who only show you their materialistic lifestyle, vanity obsessive nature’s, it’s all about me videos. It can cause you to feel less confident or happy with your life. And then they get paid. Be your happy, be confident in you, feel your best & never compare! 🤗 x

@Fleur I enjoyed reading and agree with many of the points you had made. As a seeker or "real life" I sometimes explore KZfaq commentators to see if there others who might share the same "real life" assessments of "how things really are" or if they share the a "math of life" that adds up to . . . . my belief that whatever we say, do, or intend: that the person or situation we are involve with (including ourselves) walks away a better person. I consider that the greater good of all things must prevail. Be happy and confident in many ways includes the positive balance of our conduct, actions, intentions, and neighborly love. Greed, self centeredness, being condescending, combative, opinionated, and immoral are traits that don't offend work and in many cases distracts from the inner beauty of one's personal strengths and process during efforts towards success. My personal confidence has come not so much from what I have accumulated materially, what I had done compared to what someone else hasn't, or where I have been (compared to someone else). My confidence (thus sense of happiness) has come for learning to Love, being thankful, recognizing the beauty and powers of others who have done positive things to help others without fanfare or recognition, learning to forgive, and identifying with "real people" such as yourself. Just knowing that I can give myself a chance, "that chance" that others, on many occasions, either don't give, don't know how to give, or want to give. I am very particular and selective with whom I associate and interact with. on many occasions I act and travel alone and somehow come across a decent person who will celebrate "the moment." There are just many "knockers, toppers, and doubters" who can't bare to express appreciation, joy, thankfulness, or just keep things positive. I am (feel a sense of happiness) for anyone who runs into someone like yourself. (maybe even someone like myself) . . . . maybe one day we will run into each other in happenstance and enjoy a happy moment during each other's journey. Wishing every one who gets a chance to read elongated note peace, love, joy, truth, and much blessings. May your confidence in knowing who, what, why, and when you are grow with wisdom and positive ripple effects in your journey.

I got ditched by a friend who was very passive aggressive about ending our friendship. I think it was because I had outlived my usefulness as she climbed up socially. She overtook me by miles! When I stated to do well she came to see me give a talk. She seen me bomb in college trying to squeak through a project in which I was required to speak in front of lots of people! When she saw me do my thing afterwards she approached me saying how well I had done but her face said something quite different. It was as if she was disappointed I was straining to do well. Or how dare I improve my life. That’s what I saw in her demeanour. I’m still not where I want to be but I’m almost there. I’m. A decade older than she is and she hasn’t no reason to be jealous so, I’m asking you to chime in with your thoughts since my conundrum toes in directly with this topic! Thank you . ..

I know this feeling sooo well, don't get blinded bro. Took me 32 years to finally realise this fully. Most people out there in the world who seem extrovert are nothing more than insecure pricks who overcompensate their miserable lifes and need attention. Unfortunately, many times they blind other people into seeming great. Easy ways to spot them: They always talk/talk about themselves, their talk seems to contradict itself from time to time, u get a feeling that they don't listen at all - rather they try to belittle u/instruct u even without asking for help, when something stressful happens they instantly snap and get aggressive because they can't handle neglection in any form, they only have shallow friendships etc Bummers on the street who can handle neglection from whole of society and still give a shit are worthy much more than such fake persons.
