Pushrod length is measured at zero stroke. You have shown it being measured at full stroke. This can created an inaccurate length and is critical on dual pin brake adjusters. The chamber must be fully air caged to get the proper measurement. Also, what do you do if the old pushrod length was wrong and how can you tell?

What if the old rod is cut incorrectly by the previous installer? Why not mark the 90 degree intersection with the s-cam and set it up properly with the length of the clevis and set up measurement?

Thanks for the video. Does it matter if the old chambers is bad as far as comparing the measurements. Would it measure the same when side by side with new chambers? Thanks again

New brakes new drums. Brakes won’t stop heating up. Tried adjusting the brakes but slacks automatically adjusts itself. If anyone can help.

Hi, I have a problem with my dd15 Cascadia 2011, I had engine check light on and start loosing power, I took it to this shop, they checked it with computer and told me that I need to change engine harness. I told to go head and do it. After they put new harness on, I took it for test drive, it was same nothing changed, I took it back to them, they checked with computer and told me that I need injector 4and 6. I told okay go ahead and change it. After they changed the two injector and injector harness, I took it for a test drive still loosing power. I took pic of the their computer when they were checkeing it’s show that Low pressure fuel sensor is failed Can that be the reason?? And thanks

Can you do a video on how to measure and cut rod if the old brake chamber rod was not the correct length? When I replaced mine all 4 were off +/- 1 inch of each other. Long story short everything is installed but I'm not 100% sure it's cut to the right length.

@@anitamartini8161 thanks but that's not it. I'm interested in seeing how to measure and cut the rod length if you don't have anything to go off of . On mine I took an average of the 4 goofy ones and made the cuts. The brakes locked up so I shortened 1/4 inch a few times before it seemed to work ok. But it would be nice to know how to measure from scratch and make it right the first time. There are lots of instructions manuals online but they make it confusing. It would be nice to see a professional do it so I can be 100%.

usdpaulp I did that one this video, the difference is how long or how short do you need it. For the truck brake chamber the process is the same, just smaller pushing rod length. But the same way you going fo measure it as I did on this video.

usdpaulp Now, if the pushing rod was already cut and it is longer than normal, you can re measure it to 4-1/4 inches to give the right length but it is always better to get the length of the pushing rod from the old OEM brake chamber. If the brake chamber pushing rod is cut shorter than 4 inches you will need to replace the brake chamber for a new one.

@@usdpaulp www.tsebrakes.com/medias/iw/TSE_Installation_Manual_rev5.pdf I dont know if you are still working on this but I found this manual useful. You will need to put it with a spec sheet for your brake can.
