In some Australian models the Brake lights are only the outside lights. Those lights use combination Brake / Tail light bulbs. They are replaced by removing the entire light fitting to access the globe socket from the rear of unit. The rear red lights mounted inside the boot / trunk lid are simply rear tail lights that constantly illuminate red colour when the vehicle's lights are switched on.
