College can be the key for a lot of people to get to their dreams, follow your own and do what you need to do for your own life. Don’t let societal or personal pressures stop you from moving foreword in life. It’s easy to get tied down by bullshit or drugs or something. I’ve spent months straight back to back high constantly and depressed.. I was kicked out of the Army and lost my scholarship to university. I had a 3.7 college gpa and had to leave. Life will change and plans will constantly be thwarted before they can see fruition. The strongest and most successful of people often take lessons from their failure and continue relentlessly on their pursuit of their own success.

I heard this song when I was 15 in my sophomore year. I was failing so bad I was thinking about dropping out because at that point I wasn’t sure if I’d pass. I was afraid of being held back and disappointing my parents. I was in a tuff spot suicidal to the max. I’m 16 turning 17 soon and still in school. This song helped me especially the lyrics “you are who you are don’t keep yourself waiting” really hit. I was about to drop out but I got through it. I pushed through. Idk if I wanna go to college just to restart the same cycle but I am finally making my dreams come true.

I first found Brakence with the drop of his "fuckboy" video w/ only 4k followers on Soundcloud & immediately put all my friends on to him- because of how distinct, raw, and unique his sound was. I fell in love with all his music and heard all of his discography off of Acid which just solidified my love for his music. Seeing him hit 1mil on this video gives me this sensation of wanting to cry like I'm a proud parent or something.. kid went from being another artist on SoundCloud to being recognized in the underground community for how different and NEW he is- in a matter of only a couple of months. It's inspiring to be honest, especially considering how long he's spent locked up in his bedroom just experimenting with new sounds & ideas, PERFECTING his own unique sound. You deserve all of this praise Brakence, anyone who listens to you can tell that you'll have a long lasting & prosperous career, Thank You for your Art.

Anyone saying this is a generic emo rap song, is low key capping. And only touched 2 songs and agreed with their sheep friends. This song deserves the credit it needs. The vocals are Amazing the lyrics are touching to a lot of people that have been through the same or thinking the same thing with their life.

It's a good song. Can't deny that but this song in particular is most definitely generic emo rap. That's not to say it isn't done well, it is. But it's also nothing new, which is, by definition, generic.

@@funkfunk_ listen to emo rappers fam, this barely touch everything they say. Shrimp, lil peep, lil tracy, 7ru7h, and etc.. This ISN'T generic, all of those I've named says nearly the same stuff, but this doesn't exactly say nearly the same things. This is him being happy he moved from his past life, doing what he loves, the complete opposite of emo. He's glad that him dropping out wasn't a mistake. You clearly don't know what emo is.

@@deliriouszora I agree. Brakence's music feels a bit refreshing. Emo rap has an interesting production style that I like but sometimes their lyrics can feel a little too cynical or morbid. Brakence sings alot better than those rappers, imo. The fact that he can sing, with a more optimistic message, while still having that meloncholy production style is so cool.
