Girl using Xperia : "I want an iphone, but until my phone dies, I won't buy a new one." like gurl you will be using your Xperia for the next 10 years because that phone won't die easily..😆..not unless you'll throw into the ocean that's 1,000 feet deep 😆..I've been using my Xperia for 6 years now..it's still alive and ringing..Dropped it many times and it has been immersed in water for many times and it's not even water proof and yet it's like nothing happened 😆😆😆..

I live in Japan and I think another reason for the popularity of the iPhone comes from the mobile networks. In Japan, only certain phones are compatible to work here. Even if your phone is unlocked and compatible with the Japanese network bands, it still might not work. I had an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S6 which covered Japanese network bands but because it wasn't listed on my phone carrier's site of compatible devices, it didn't work. iPhones have no compatibility issues. Now I'm using a OnePlus 5 on Docomo with no problems even though it's not on their compatibility list. It's a bit of a crapshoot.

About Samsung, it’s a very unpopular brand on Japan due to their Korean roots, it seems that there’s some discrepancy between Japan and South Korea. Even Samsung had to rename all their devices lineup suppressing all references to their brand, that’s why they sell their phones as just “Galaxy” in Japan.

At the time when iphones became popular in japan i also asked many japanese friends why they choose iphones over android. almost all of them said, because the size of iphones is perfect for their hands and android phones were too big. the iPhone ,to me, is intended for people who just want to have a phone for calling , taking pictures and simple stuff like that. now, the android has a lot of features and can easily be tweaked to your liking but that would probably be too complicated for someone who is used to the iPhone. My note 8 is so useful and convenient in everyday situations and everything else basically. Android is for those who wish to use the technology to the maximum. Android all the way 😍

Xiaomi Mi A1 (android) i find the iphone too expensive, too locked behind a ecosystem i don't use (apple) i don't make use of any of their services so i don't really miss anything from apple's ecosystem, as for android i actually use google's ecosystem, chromecast, chrome as a browser on my desktop, gmail as my personal email, so that's basically why i find it more confortable to use an android phone. Android can also be simplistic if you choose a launcher and apps that make it simple to use, but if you want a little more or even a lot more you can always get it on android while on iphone you get what apple decides you are going to get and that's it.

Straight up though, I don't understand why we can't all just use both android and apple. You get the best of both worlds by just swapping between the two every time you get a new phone. Or have a cheap 1 or 2 year+ old refurbished iPhone as your main phone for texting/ calling/ facetiming with other people, alongside buying your android of choice for media consumption and overall more smartphone features.

My phone is Android and a Google Pixel 2 XL! I love how it functions and quickly it responds, plus it has incredible camera quality, minor the blue hue you see when you turn the brightness down when you scroll through feeds, pictures etc. But it's just like any other Android phone, very easy to use, updates are not a pain, you can access time, date/day and find out what notifications you have without putting your pin in, other than that the only downside is not having a lot of case designs; the phone cases are very expensive and there's not many custom ones you can buy either which saddens me because I've always wanted a custom phone case! It's really good in terms of sturdiness because I've dropped it that many times, I haven't seen a single crack! I recommend the Google Pixel phones, they're super sweet and I don't think I'll ever change my mind when it comes to buying another type of phone again!!!

As said, just get an iPhone. It's better than losing a temper when it comes for phone cover cases. But I'll get one in the future (but Vivo is kinda good unless you treat it fairly and excellent. I think is Ideology. I've seen so many videos and documentaries about Japan, and I don't understand why they are so in love about the U.S.' ideology. I mean, 70 years ago they smash your country TWICE. And now, it's like the most of japanese have forgotten history (except for the most of the oldest japanese) When I watched Zankyou no terror, I kind of understand the situation; in the anime there's been said that Japan is a country where its honor was taken away. U.S. also used ideology to "destroy" the URSS, Germany (cold war), Japan, and I don't know about other countries. So Madonna, Michel Jackson, Apple, Comics, Coca Cola... Are the key, or better said, are the face, because I don't know what's the key.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 that is still working (mostly). The charging port broke a while ago, so now I have a battery charger and swap out batteries. It's kind of silly, but it's not like I use my phone for "high end" mobile games, so what's the point in switching? When I do switch, I plan on getting a used phone, because it is better for the environment and doesn't support bad worker conditions, while also being cheaper.

ZENPhone is great! I use to be a pure Apple user. Demo, Ima...I thought to try Android and I actually prefer Android more! Tsbun, due to my career. Demo actually, I love how you can actually personalize the Android to your own preference much more than Apple. Plus, the updates from Apple and the way they "force" you into upgrading by making certain things obsolete. I don't dig that.

Kinda true tho. I mean, if in 2007 Steve Jobs didn't announced iPhone. Probably Nokia and Blackberry still on top, and android probably need more time. And you have to remember that Apple is the 1st company that made PC for public user. And also the "stolen" GUI concept from Xerox that create machintos(and probably inspired Bill Gates to made Windows). And yeah, Face ID, chinless bezels, airpods. Actually they've started a lot of new things.

Galaxy note 8. I'm a busy student and I needed a phone that functions as a office tool, smart phone, camera, and editor. Sadly I ran over it so I'm using my mom's old s8 until I get a new one. So far everything is about the same. Office work is a little slower and lack of s pen makes certain task a little harder. I didn't go for the iPhone do to lack of customizations, I don't like Apple's business practices, and I hate they took the headphone jack away. All of my other electronics use android OS and google so everything is in sync and connected.

Cathy, I'm totally with you on this. I use Android and avoid using Apple products as much as I can. They are supposedly easy to use, but I'm so used to computers and smartphones working a different way, I get really frustrated when I have to use iPhones or Macs. The one case where I have had to surrender is when I've had to use iTunes on my desktop in order to buy some Japanese songs that I can't buy and download elsewhere.
