BRAND NEW 2021 BMW 330e M Sport Review

Another addition to the channel, this brand new BMW 330e M Sport. Available in various trims and 'packs', the base model starts from around £37,000 here in the UK (this one in particular is just shy of £40,000) and according to BMW UK this hybrid will account for 25% of 3 series sales...all down to tax benefits!
Is the BMW 3 Series still the king of the 'all round' car? Or should you go for a Mercedes C Class or Audi A4 instead? Just one of the many talking points I discuss in this video.

@@TheRealBobMarley Base C class models drive like boats, and there is no competition in the hybrid + performance department like 330e, but hey you got a nice interior who cares right?

There is no phev version of the A4. If you need to compare the C300e and the 330e then the merc ,being an older version, really missed its battery integration in the boot and it ruined the ride with a lot of pendulum effect. The 330e put the battery between the two axles and it is far better to ride. But it may change with the next version in a few months

Currently got a Mercedes Cla 200 AMG, and am upgrading to the 330e M sport. So this video was really helpful to see the specifics of the car in picture. Thanks mate

I like your relaxed reviews which are not hyped. I have ordered my 330e with the pro/tech pack. That will be my fourth BMW as I think they are great to drive.

While the interiors for the BMW's are a little bland I believe that the infortainment system is quite spectacular. The I-drive system is perhaps the most erganomic UI compared to the Audi and Mercs. Having said that, like most other brands the infotainment systems are well under utilised for most drivers. Super content btw look forward to the tesla! Much to talk about that one!

I think the weight of hybrid and electric cars will always be a shame and the sticking point with proper drivers. Hope they can improve battery chemistry in the future and lighten them though. Nice to know the 330e still under steers though. Great vid, subscribed 👍

I have a 71 plate, and I can get to 87mph in Full Electric mode. So i'm not sure where the 68mph is.

I picked up my 330e last month, best all-rounder I've ever owned. Was so close on a 320d but went with the heart on a pricier and nicer spec 330e and couldn't be happier. There's noticeable performance over the diesel and the economy is incredible when charged daily

I have had this for 6 months, you actually get charging range of about 26 miles. When you drive it you get less than that, and if you put heaters on you get even more less than that. In the winter you will lucky to get about 16 miles on electric drive. Poor considering the claimed mileage when I bought the car was 37. Therefore I need to charge the car everyday. Now here’s the funny thing, in London it costs between £18-£22 to charge the car, and you can do about 16miles with that. However if you put £18-22 petrol in the car you can do about 130 miles! So what’s the bloody point of charging? So now I only use the electric to climatise the car before I get in, and use full petrol mode for my commute. Apart from that good car though.

If you are able to charge at home that makes a huge difference. My 330e has done 1,780 and so far I’ve only filled up twice for £70 of fuel, as I charge at home overnight I’m paying ~£1.60 a night and getting about 24 miles so overall very happy.

Hi, I’ve had my 330e Touring for about 700 miles. I charge when I can on a EV tariff so it costs 74p to fully charge. I’ve used half a tank of fuel so far and get about 20 miles off a charge, not bad with seat heaters and AC on.

@@lukesmith8413 my UK G21 330e Touring has a 40 litre - 8.8 Gal tank. Very small by comparison with normal ICE powered cars.
