Thank you so much for doing this video. I recently got a pull behind swisher mower that we've been pulling with our pickup truck to mow our property. Wasnt sure if a pull behind box blade existed yet. But I needed a video to support my argument of getting an atv as a work vehicle to the lady.

Sounds like a great tool for maintaining ATV/UTV trails that are narrow or between buildings. Great if you don't have a tractor. If you have a vacation home or hunting cabin where you don't have a vehicle or trailer that can pull a tractor and big implement. Also very convenient for fixing erosion problems or eliminating rough spots in a field or lawn. Sometimes smaller is better. You would not be well served trying to do big fields or moving lots of material. Places with lots of big rocks would probably tear it up. It fits a niche and seems to work. A good video by the company on setup and use would really help in deciding if it is appropriate.

I like the turning around tracking that a tow behind allows. Also, some of the advance ones have digital and computer guided leveling that I don’t think you can get from a 3 - point version.

ABI makes a Gravel Grader Pro that you can pull behind a ATV/ UTV comes with scarifiers and a rear rake. Does wonders on driveways when all you have is a ATV. They also make the TR3 & TR3e for tractors and a SR3 for skid steers. All wear parts are replaceable and most importantly…… It’s American Made! They come with stabilizing wheels, scarifiers, and auto leveling blade. I love mine!!!!

Yeah, I've researched the ABI stuff and when I finally decide to pull the trigger the TR3 will be my choice for my tractor.

glad you did this video. Iended up buying a tractor due to the fact that there isn't a lot of info or products for towable attachments to a truck or atv. I was tryingto go budget ended up with tractor. There a manyothers who need this option.

excellent review. I have a short gravel driveway that needs work...I think this would be a solution since my use would be minimal. Also great to re plane periodically.

I can see it working well if you have a short driveway and maintain it frequently. Not so much if you have a lot of surface area and want to do major regrading. UTVs in general don't like to spend a lot of time under load at low speed. UTV engines overheat and transmissions eat belts or clutches in situations a tractor handles with ease.

first, i like your channel ! just a thought for the small driveway , like mine 250 ft up a hill with a 6 car space in front of garage this would work! for over 20 years i kept my driveway in good shape with an old piece of chain link fence and a chunk of unistrut dragging behind , we pulled it with our quad or our 12hp wheelhorse garden tractor, every year those machines cleared snow and later on we touched up with the drag mat my son would love to drag the driveway many years later i bought a 1025r not everyone can afford or need a larger tractor so we are spoiled now that we own big tractors ! but this tool would of been great glad to see northwoods product..

Here's something to try. Get a 4' piece of iron. (Railroad, I-beam, C channel) Enough 1/4" chain to drag it 6' behind the ATV. Put a eye at center point of chain. You can choke the chain to drag left or right. Learn to work the tool. You will be surprised. Done a lot of driveways with this. A old box springs will make a good finishing drag also. There wasn't always these fancy new implements/toys.😆 We're still 5 yrs old in the sandbox, with our Tonka toys. Enjoy

I’ve ran the bigger version of this and what I’ve found works best is find a level area put the cutting edge down and raise the tires till their about 1/4”-1/2” off the ground and go

I think it would work fine behind a lawn tractor to maintain your driveway filling in the pot holes. It would sure beat the garden rake that I have to use doing it by hand.

Stabilizer bars won't help on any dirt or rock road that is curved/slanted like it's suppose to. The box will always want to move to the lowest part of the slant. Been thinking NG of getting one of these great review. You said it comes with a FOB to lift the wheels up and down?

Do you think it would cork on a hard compacted surface? It kind of looks like it's best suited for lose gravel.

I can see this only for light surface smoothing. It doesn’t take much dirt to even overwhelm a medium 300-400 cc geared four wheeler. It’s really nice that it’s surprisingly lightweight. Really nice for those who want a tractor but can’t afford it financially or can’t have it for what ever situation they’re in either too small of trails or soft terrain.

Yes we are in same boat, we have a Polaris 6 seat SIDE BY SIDE but cannot currently afford a tractor thanks to BIDENOMICS. I have a field doing zilch except getting wet. Lol

Your gauge wheels need to contact the ground. They keep your blade at the same height. You want to set it so you are just hitting the high spots and it will distribute the gravel in the low spots. You want to run it so its barely grabbing material. The smoother you get the lower you go but always having the gauge wheels in contact. The wheels are behind the blade so they are unaffected by the unlevel ground in front unlike a box blade. These scrapers do an amazing job when used correctly. Im going to convert my box blade to a drag scraper just like that one.

Looks like those two trays on the top are intended to hold weights, or a box for weights. I'd check on their website, but I'm too lazy :)
