I have multiple accounts - all of them approved by tech support - and use engines for all of them when I play. I'm on year two of this experiment, waiting to see when I get banned. 90-100% accuracy everytime, 30-game win streaks - I don't even hide what I'm doing. Still none of my accounts have been banned of even suspended. The site literally does nothing about cheating or I would have been caught by now. Everything Dan Rensch says is a lie, money is all that matters. I will continue using engines in all of my games, just to position the waters further. Nope, not sorry at all. 🙂

Damn dude, here you are ready to cast everyone's first stone. I feel like you have lost your faith in humanity. A bad choice doesn't make a person bad, but rather making a choice with the intention of its consequences does. People aren't bad, they are ignorant and oblivious to the harm their choices will cause as a result and that is not worthy of the level of devaluation you've placed upon people in general. We have flaws, we make flawed choices but that's called being human.

That religiously convinced mumbling of Kramnik when he nails another player to the cross... Decides to leave it to just one nail this time, but will play Jospem in real life. Turns off his gear, talks to the cat, goes to bed with regrets about an unfair world but quickly slips into a coma anyway. Leaves his opponent dangling until the next morning. I'm imagining that many really bad decisions, inside and outside of chess, are made by people as deeply bored and tired as Kramnik.

It may be called the Delayed Alapin in the opening notes but I learnt the c3, Bd3-c2 set-up against the Sicilian as the Kopec System so I will stick with that. It went through a brief period of mild popularity during my junior years as players picked it up hoping for it to be a useful surprise weapon against the Sicilian, then quickly faded when they realised it wasn't very good. As well as Kramnik's solid ...e5 approach, another major branch is for black to play ...g6, ...Bg7, ...Qa5 and ...0-0, then drop the queen back to c7. There is sometimes a transposition to a Benoni variation where white plays slowly instead of pushing d5. I think more or less all of the lines end up with equality or a shade of advantage for black. If black does go wrong though, the pull white gets can last a long time.

@yaa40 I understand that "light year" is a unit of measurement for distance. Specifically, the distance that Light can travel in a year. It is used when Astronomical Units (the average distance between the Sun and the Earth) are no longer sufficient. The first sentence of your comment explains as much. It's the 2nd sentence I was remarking on. Saying it isn't a long time and that it is not time at all. Which it is. It is a unit of measurement using both time (a year) and light speed (the speed at which light travels) to determine a distance. So while Light Year isn't used to measure time, Time is most definitely involved. Hope this helped clarify my comments meaning.

@@Dakodi_ I wasn’t really talking about titles, used the word play that his current playing strength may well be below the one he had while being world champion: a former world champion is about the past, not about the present, and many if not all players lost a lot of their power when hitting 50 (age). Some deal with it graciously, others, maybe Kramnik too, try to still be what they were, but apparently are not. AI helps anyone in the world to achieve his maximum potential at a very young age nowadays, which was unthinkable even a few years ago: you had to live in a country with good players around you or you were hopelessly lost. Kramnik was a good player, he apparently is not that good anymore. I feel he cannot quite cope with that. To me, that is all very distant, and kind of amusing.

Yes. According to changes in the evaluation bar through the game, Kramnik's position deteriorated at three points of the game. The first two were when Kramnik initiated the exchange of queens and then again with the exchange of rooks. He was already lost, but the third was when he allowed a fork so White could exchange his knight for a bishop.

Last time Kramnik played OTB blitz chess, it did not go too well for him He played friendly, but FIDE rated match against Esipenko in Rostov on Don. 12 games Result : Kramnik won 3 games, lost 7 games and drawed 2 games BTW Alcantara FIDE rating in blitz is 2703, Kramnik FIDE rating is dropping like a stone, in blitz he was ca 2800+ few years ago, now 2664 . So if the met OTB, I doubt it would brink former World Champion much joy, more likely bitter disappointment again

I am worried about Kramniks mental condition - is he going down the path of Bobby Fischer!?
@Grrrnthumb
@Grrrnthumb 2 ай бұрын
Yes, unfortunately. I've spent much time around people with mental illness, and I definitely see the signs that's beginning here. One is that he doesn't understand, or care, how he is humiliating himself before all his peers. Another is his inability to accept his natural decline, as should be expected. Another is his nonsense interpretation of what the %accuracy measure means. He well knows it is deeply affected by BOTH players, (if you give your opponent obvious moves he will score high) but blindly ignores this fact he knows well to justify his own failings as "cheating" by someone else.

No, this is just a mob mentality where majority of chess fans are Hikaru supporters or watch their favorite Twitch or KZfaq chess content creator repeat the same talking points about Kramnik and it becomes a massive echo chamber. He may accuse many of foul play however nobody knows with certainty that his allegations are untrue. There may be a portion that are true. Unfortunately with chess these things are extremely difficult to prove, even the best player of all time to some and world champion Magnus Carlsen could not have his foul play accusations credited in a court of law. It (being the truth) really then only has one option which is to slander those accusing others of foul play because unless it’s ever proven (which is highly unlikely), any narrative or opinion that gets traction becomes the “truth” when it may very well not be. However, I guarantee if Magnus continued to accuse others like this, the narrative would be entirely different than that surrounding Kramnik because people like Magnus. I’m not entirely defending Kramnik here, but there are massive rose tinted glasses on this issue and not as much objectivity as there needs to be. I simply think Kramnik has earned the right to be taken seriously as his expertise and mastery in the field of chess is unprecedented compared to anyone commenting here on these videos.

I've been watching Jospem for years online, not that I'm any expert, but I think he's legit. He's a really good online player. Kramnik should watch the dude that just beat Magnus with a masterpiece of a game. Young American dude I think. If I remember correctly. These games just happen online. Andrea and Alex Botez just playd in Prague and at least one of them had a game with like 98% until the time scramble at the end. And they are both rated below 2000. Kramnik lost touch with chess after the pandemic and the online boom. Things have changed. That being said I give him credit for his efforts against cheating. But please don't loose your mind over it, Kramnik.

Kramnik has just highlighted a game between Paul Morphy and Johann Löwenthal from 1850. He noted something suspicious in an oil painting of the match, in which he claims Morphy can clearly be seen wearing an earpiece bearing the Apple logo. He has reported his findings to the relevant authorities.

@@dnomyarnostaw from wiki: "A light-year, alternatively spelled light year (ly), is a unit of length used to express astronomical distances and is equal to exactly 9,460,730,472,580.8 km, which is approximately 5.88 trillion mi. As defined by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), a light-year is the distance that light travels in a vacuum in one Julian year (365.25 days).[2]" So, a light year is a set, defined distance when light travels through a vacuum, so, no, it's not a light year if "travelling through some crystals" and it doesn't matter if light is "travelling through a dense medium".

"95.7% cheating?". Last time I heard that I played an online game against a strong player just to see how accurate I could be. Got 98.6% and the single move that the engine thought was second best created the complications that enabled me to quickly finish the game off. However, I would not be able to do that repeatedly, which I think is what Kramnik is talking about here.
