That rod don't suck. I have all the sizes 8',9',10',11',&12'...never had that problem. The problem is you boosted that ray out of the water by high sticking which is a big no no. That's what sucked...not the rod!

Any fisherman knows not to hold their rod that high in the air.. And.. That looks like a spinning rod. But holding it like a bait caster? I could be wrong. I couldn't get a clear view of his reel. It looks like a bait casting reel? Those two rod and reels don't mix. I see a few possible reasons why his rod broke.

Actually it’s a casting rod fyi. I know the difference between the available rod options and what they’re used for.
@epictcg4424 Жыл бұрын
it can be the rod quality that plays a part of it but seems more like you broke it... everything was fine until you put pressure at the very top of the rod by trying to hold onto the stingray or pull it closer to you.... If I remember the rod is a fast action rod so in honesty, its not a bendable rod or stretchable rod like others that are moderate or slower action. That was a fisherman mistake. But I dont blame you though , many other fisherman dont know much about fast action rod when compare to the avg moderate that they usually put on all rods. Moderate fast action is bendable at the middle so when you do put up it... it will bend pretty solid I would say. But for the fast action rod its only bendable at the tip so you putting pressure on it... most likely its gonna break cause the rod wont bend with it as much as an moderate one. "Moderate rod are the avg rod, meaning majority of rod has it". But the Daiwa Emcast is fast action. People tend to forget about the fast action tip thats why the rod break.
