These are my FAVORITE home decor items I would buy brand new! Secondhand shopping is my favorite way to discover unique and vintage home decor that's not only affordable but also eco-friendly and sustainable, and unlike the trending items at big stores, secondhand finds often have so much character. However, I always want to see what new interior design ideas are out there, as I'm always looking for the perfect piece to add to my home. And all that "research" aka window shopping usually ends up informing the way I shop for secondhand decor, or what I decide to dupe or DIY.

High-class taste on blue collar budget! I feel like this is what makes your channel so successful, how you translate high concept design into the accessible. This episode seemed as if it was a peak behind the curtain, showcasing inspiration and your POV.

Love your videos! Hotel Emma in San Antonio, TX has two amazing signature scents. The one with the black label is sort of masculine, and my favorite, but both are nice. Not cheap, but so worth it!

I'm obsessed with bed linen like you and always looking out for a deal. I'd get those pink striped sheets too if they weren't so expensive. There's a blue undertone so that's probably why you like them. Good video, thanks for that. Currently on the hunt for a dramatic modern light fixture but taking my time. I like the straw fan-shaped ones you see around but think that look might date quickly.

Awesome! thank you! And I think if you stick to something classically shaped but the material is interesting or maybe it’s a classic material like metal but the shape is something unique then it won’t date that easily! I also like to look for things that mimic a style that I like.. like japanese inspired pendant might be cool if you’re in a minimal space. most pieces that mimic an era we have already lived through stand the test of time, especially when it’s made with a great classic or angular shape😊

Hey, how are you? I really liked your video, your choices has a real modernist vibe which always feels modern but goes so well with vintage retro. I think one reason I enjoy your videos is the way you have a conversation with your watchers rather than being preachy and "stuck up". Acknowledging that you don't spend big money but still love expensive things speaks to the majority of people decorating their homes. Its about finding what each individual loves and feeling the confidence to make your space personal. By the way your place is looking great but wondering how your garden area is going? Hi! I’m doing well considering this year has just been kicking my butt so far! Hoping I can be back to neutral soon… Thank you for asking, I appreciate your kind words! The backyard has exploded with all the rain! It looks so pretty but wild, and it needs some real help haha. I’ll try to do an update before the rain starts up again! It rains sooo much here nowadays!

It was interesting to get your view point on new items since you're the Queen of Thrifting. And spending $50 on a decanter, sometimes you have to just splurge and treat yourself, and since you save in so many other area, it's a good trade off. I would love to know, what if feels like to sleep on Brook linen, but they are very much above my budget; I hear so many rave about them and how wonderful they are.

I like to use those inspirations to come up with my own version. I once saw an free flow mirror that I replicated with MDF and put a rectangle mirror on the back. I tiled the front with bits of different tile, pottery and broken dishes and then hung it in my guest bathroom. It was so cool and fun. We all need inspiration and if we get the chance maybe we will find it at an estate or consignment sale. You have one of the best consignment stores there in Encinitas!!
