Long time paramedic here and I would never need a knife on shears. Actually the extra tools that flop around are not useful. In the heat of a trauma call the last thing I would need is extra tools flopping around. Light weight is preferred. We carry a lot of stuff. Like to see a titanium leatherman version.

Boy, if they swapped the blade like to pre sharpened long scalpel and made the strap cutter replaceable they could sneak in to the EMS market real easy. Adopting one of the good blade swap systems would assure a place in my kit. As long as the shears were excellent. I hope Leatherman are taking notes here.

Mr. Kincaid, the only concern I have is if the polymer handle weakens or breaks, you'll end up with a knife blade literally in the palm of your hand. I wouldn't feel comfortable using this product, personally.

Some new addition & material, don't really see much of an upgrade though but it is what it is.! It doesn't have that "wow" effect. Lets see if the scissors performs, especially on heavy clothing. Cheers mate.

Good ideas, would love the better materials and execution of Leatherman, but that's a smart design.

And I just bought the previous model a couple of weeks ago. Oh well. I only paid $8 for them so no big deal if I want to upgrade them soon.

That is actually just a Chinese Copy as well. The original is Japanese, and it’s called Mitsumoto Sakari. And the Japanese version is of course way better.

I think you are right it does weaken the handle specially right at the end of the handle is the glass breaker duh come on people they're just trying to spruce up something to make an extra few bucks The wheel is round I keep telling it you're not going to get it anymore rounder😂

Do like Leatherman and cut a penny! The design seems overly fiddly to me (I’d prefer Knipex shears), but paramedics seem to like them.

Adding the blade and the carabiner clip were both nice touches, but that "phillips" driver looks useless and turning the oxygen wrench into a tiny Kentucky wrench is a terrible idea.

I guess it’s just me, but I have trust issues with a closed knife blade that is not fully covered. As far as a budget knock-off, I guess it’s okay. But I just don’t see how anyone is going to beat the original Raptor… or their Rescue models, with a knock-off. First Responders are gonna go with tried and true… but others will find it acceptable. Leatherman’s hard belt sheath that allows them to be carried open or closed, will always be a winner.

They weakened one of the scissor handle to turn it into clip hook. But Im curious if with this modification you will be able to really brake car window with glass braker. I suspect that multool may brake sooner than car window.

I will NEVER buy anything leatherman again...They are the most expensive multi tool in the world and the quality now is no better than a lot of off brand or less well known names .. Leatherman has gone from great to greedy ..

Sadly but it looks like chinese LM copiers think about improvements more than LM itself. I suppose LM tries to sell Raptor to some government structures and it demands some certifications. It always costs money and prevents to add any changes. In this case I'd recommend to create slightly different models to adopt improvements and to lower the cost. Call them ResqR and position it as a tool for First Aid Kit for drivers. Will I buy Raptor for 90 bucks if I'm neither medic nor paramedic? No. Will I buy genuine LM tool for First Aid Kit in my car for 40-50 bucks? Of course Yes!
