Welcome to the 888MF KZfaq channel. In this video I drive the 2017 Porsche 991 GT3 or the 991.2 GT3. This Miami Blue car only had 204 miles on the clock when I took it out! I also compare it to my McLaren 650S coupe, which also has a dual clutch gearbox and two seats! Feel free to read the thoughts below before or after you watch the video:
The 991.2 GT3 is a fantastic car and the PDK gearbox allows you to use it much more often than previous 'manual only' models. The latest version also has a welcomed increase in power to 493bhp. The PDK Sport option makes the downshifts sound incredible. However I did find that the steering wasn't as direct as a Cayman GT4. The only downside to the GT4 is the fact that it is only offered with a manual box for now. However if you can accept that, then it is a bargain in the world of supercars with second hand examples changing hands at just over £80k in the UK.
The McLaren 650S on the other hand is a genuine supercar and the extra power is very noticeable. In addition the mid-engined layout and dihedral doors really make it feel like it is on a different level to the GT3. Given that it was around £220k when new this shouldn't come as a total surprise. If you have £160k to spend on a car then I think it is a relative bargain.
Conclusion: The GT3 is an amazing car if you want something you can use daily and also take to a race track. The naturally aspirated engine sounds wonderful and the build quality is 10/10 as with most Porsche models. However I would still categorise it as a sports car, but a very good one at that!!
I hope you enjoy watching these cars in action and please subscribe for more content in the future.

It's funny to me how so many people complain that a manual is hard after driving it long distances and in traffic, I think the opposite. It keeps me engaged and less bored, no it never will be as quick and as smooth as a dual clutch but thats it's charm, it'll only be as quick and smooth as you make it. The feeling you get when you're the one matching the revs on downshifts makes it even more rewarding. The truth is people are lazy

Mark - great job - finally got to watch this and really enjoyed it - the GT3 would be my top choice of car if I was looking in this segment - such a presence on the road

1) I know I'm not alone when I say, I prefer a proper manual transmission. 2) Those seat belts look more orange not yellow. I love the bright Miami blue. Thanks.

Driving a manual for SEVERAL hours is no problem at all if you are used to it. When you are grown up with manuals you do not think about it. You change gears without thinking about it. It becomes part of your body.

The quality is fantastic, great content man! Only suggestion I can give for now is the music; it's a little bit loud in comparison to the rest of the video. Other than that, keep it up!

I will never understand how all these people who claim "I am petrol head, I love cars" are saying that manual takes away enjoyment of driving. All these automated transmissions makes whole experience of driving simply shallow. I have 11 year old >300 bhp car with manual. For sure not so refined as modern cars, not so comfortable in terms of suspension, sound deafening but I makes me smile every time I drive it is great. No matter on what road, no matter in it is empty or in traffic it makes me feal special. I am responsible for planning, thinking ahead. I am responsible for all controls, changing gear in right moment, making it smooth, keeping engine in right speed... All these fast sport and super cars are made simply for lazy people who can't drive car in proper way. I know that with PDK, DSG, S-TRONI or whateveryoucallyourautomatictransmission is easy and comfortable and accessible for everyone when in fact all you do is keeping wheel in your hands and turning it more or less without thinking what actually you are doing. ESP, 4 wheel steering, torque vectoring will do it all for you. What is the point of that? Is it really reason to be proud of saying "I am driving a car"? I can understand it a bit (still think that argument "I am fighting for tenths of a second' is stupid. Can't you fight for it driving yourself?) when You are on race track but on public roads it just makes you all real pussies...
