A BRAND NEW TENNIS GAME - Tennis World Tour is out now on Playstation 4, XBOX ONE, Nintendo Switch and PC! Tennis World Tour is developed Breakpoint Studio and published by Bigben Interactive. The game can be seen as the spiritual successor to Top Spin 4 as it’s developed by essentially the same people! Starring Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and over 30 other top professionals, it's time to get back on the horse and see how it compares to the old Top Spin and Virtua Tennis games as well as the new AO International Tennis game. This video is my first look, first impressions and a mini review of Tennis World Tour 2018.

Hey everyone! Seems like there's a lot of backlash about the tennis games this year! Just remember this game hasn't even had a day 1 patch yet! Give it a chance to fix bugs and add features before passing a final judgement! Also remember these games are the first on the next gen consoles, which are totally different to work with! Yes these games aren't as good as Top Spin 4, but TS1-3 certainly weren't either! For a first game in each franchise, I don't think they've done a bad job!

This game has so much potential to improve. It could be best tennis game ever. Just need sometime to fix bugs, updates & patches. And it will be one of the best ever.

I agree. Everyone needs to just calm down. I’m actually impressed and optimistic about the future of the game. This isn’t previous gen consoles, patches and updates gives opportunities for a lot of improvement.

It's ridiculous that day 1 patches are now a thing. Before consoles got always connected internet connections, what you paid for on day one was what you got and it was either good or bad. Now games are released with limited testing full of bugs and in beta-like quality.

If you guys noticed ! The ball physics in gameplay is like shooting a piece of rocket flat like it doesn't back spin when slicing and top spinning !! But in the replay it does !!!

CaptainGoodspeed OK maybe not ps2 but we are in 2018 and this graphics is not acceptable. So I think the graphics isn't the main problem of this game. I wish this videogame will be good to do better in the future, tennis need a good videogame. Sorry for my eng.

You mentioned you are playing this as soon as the game dropped. That should never be an excuse for a game to be bad or unpolished. I mean, games need to be good DAY ONE, then add a few improvements if needed. That's how the patch system in this day and age should be used.

CaptainGoodspeed a lot of my wii, wii u and switch libraries beg to differ.. Anyway I'm wanting this game to be good, we all miss top spin 4 for sure and should give these guys a chance to see what comes out of it.. But hey we got Mario aces coming up for us Switch owners though, so we will be ok.

Definitely both Work in Progress, but AO has been out for nearly 4 months now so they've had a chance to add features and fix bugs. If you can get it cheap enough, buy AO and come back to this later down the line!

After the first look at the game there is Potential yes. Hope the future patches show this potential maybe bring in more and more players male and female. Hope they bring more tournaments and hey, this is the first tennis game of both companies. Ao and twt are both playable and i am sure the future games for example tennis world tour 2 will be great and with many Licenses hope for all grand slams but we will see

CaptainGoodspeed A bit disappoited that you can only play 1 tournament per month so one season is ended after maximum 12 tournaments. And i hope the player costumasation get much bigger. Only 10 faces not enough. I think i will wait a few patches and then buy this game because i dont want to start a career now and then there are so many new players and costumasation things and my player looks old with that few real players and i dont want to start a new one so i wait a bit and then buy and grind this game

I hope you can get more realistic fan noise. Is there a place in menu to change crowd reactions? The really annoying noise is the huh type sound. It seems pretty deep but it’s obviously a AA instead of AAA but still charging $60. I still plan to get it. AO doesn’t seem all that fluid. This one has some slight jank in animation transitions.

Just bought the game to try out myself after watching your vid and others. Feels like an expensive demo. For a FULL price game at the size of an early ps3/360 game, you would expect some polish with the gameplay.

They also need to consider doing a MAJOR overhaul of the character creator system. It's just not logical that in 2018 you can't have a deep and polished character creator system in place. Beyond general gameplay, that would be a major point of emphasis if I were behind the game.

I pick my copy up tomorrow. I hope this gets better. I hate the players being constantly out of position. Professional players don't play in no mans land, the CPU is awful at this. Also all these slice forehands have to go.

In the game are lot of aces and weak return. when i want to go to net player retreat or miss the ball. This game is very simulation because game remove main strokes for example flat shot for slice shot

What are your thoughts so far on the online play? Online play is where it's at. I'm an old school Top Spin player. XboxTennis(dot)net owner. I've been holding off on the purchase... Looks like they still need to smooth out the player animations. No? I'm on the Xbox One X. At least for now. Movement looks a bit sharp and herky jerky to me. You think so?

One of the things they have to fix is getting the AI player behind the baseline to rally. Right now they hit a couple of shots and then move about 2 feet inside the baseline and rally from there. It's not realistic and it's at least partially the reason why your slicing constantly to stay in the point. Right now you have no time if you stay on or slightly behind the baseline.

I doe understand.. I still play Virtua Tennis 4 and that game is literally 100 times better in every aspect. And that was release 8 years ago.. Unbelievable.. All the sports game are amazing now a days look at fifa but tennis sucks soo bad sigh..

I do like the game what you have shown... but hope they add crowd applause, not same without it, crowds applauding and cheering etc cause atmosphere... and where are all the female players?....mostly all male :( but other than that it looks good... looking forward to seeing more in your next video thank you for taking time out to show this appreciate it :) Enjoy your tennis and have a great day :) magz :)

i think that is always the same, you hit slices grom both sides all the time, the movements of the players are same. when you hit a dropshot from the baseline it s feel so unreal that it hurts. i have AO and i think is a good game (nothing to do compare to top spin 4) but is good. you can download players, stadiums, logos that s a cool stuff example right now i am playing with dustin brown and is a donwload from comunity very similar.

/i disagree completely the animations of how players actually hit the ball are far better than in top spin 4 the movement etc.. I do agre ethere are some things that can be fixed but give credit where it is due. And I also have AO tennis, havent played world tour tennis yet but will

do you think so? yestarday i was playing with roger F and he hit a backhand with two hands. some animations are better than TS4. We will waiting a patch that fix certain critical things.

that has to do with player movement.. and agree should not happen but looking at how the players hit the ball or when they do run around forehands and motion when they hit different shots its far of an improvement from top spin 4

tennis games have even been hard to play . I started with virtua tennis on sega arcade and never managed to win a single set , I tried on game boy advance and other consoles with no luck . how can you perform tennis player moves with a gamepad ? tennis games players' community is probably a small one

Why all the hate? I see more positive than negative in this game. I STRONGLY advise you switch the camera settings to immersive. Changes the feel of the game it should be the default. Okay it’s not polished. The crowd graphics are poor, but the player and the court are quality. The graphics were made that way so the game could achieve 60FPS. The movement of the player is dodgy. But when you are rallying which is what tennis is all about, the game feels good. So far the career mode is too easy I hope it gets harder, and it badly needs online multiplayer. It does need a few patches, but overall I’m just about impressed for such a low budget company.
