KINDA IMPORTANT IF YOU'RE BUILDING THIS DECK: Heyyo! Your video today got me inspired enough to go to my LCS and finally build Despia. I'm a Locals hangoutter who has built decks from Mathmech, Floowandereeze, Ancient Warriors, Numeron, Madolche, Sky Striker, Marincess, Melffy, and so on. I've not topped or even performed in any YCS/Regionals (Have topped locals enough) but HEAR ME OUT... Your deck profile is super clean and I like the ratios, but your extra deck feels off by one card. The current way your deck is built has ZERO ways to out any tower monster bigger than 3k. I think as a really, really smart meta call (and as an additional $48 budget decrease) you should take out the 2nd Guardian Chimera that doesn't come up often and replace it for Starving Venom. Not as a Super-poly Target, per se. But as a way to out Towers by having something chunky enough to swing over. EZ To make with the Frightfur engine and also DOES make for another superpoly target. TL;DR: 2 Chimeras is win-more. Changing one out for a Starving Venom makes the deck able to play around big Towers because nothing else in the deck can and adds an additional super-poly target.

I've also seen people using this with Ra's Disciple to give to their opponent to completely lock them out of special summoning.

I might actually try out Ra’s Disciple in my Lair of Branded Krystia deck. I’ve actually started using Dragoon for a end board of usually sometimes with him, Mirrorjade, and few traps.

I have been playing Slifer with branded Fusion in my deck. I love using this with the new slifer trap..... so much fun

I run my deck almost the same exact way, I will have to try out the keeper of dragon mage though. I'm not a fan or fluffy cards the deck runs good with and without them. And the scythe lock combo is so GOOOOOOD people really don't see it coming.

With Snow banned I added Mercourier since we lack a true replacement. Would be interested in what others would suggest

Expulsion is a really nice card, giving us so many targets to play with. Playing around with it since POTE release and you could also send Dark targets like Jinzo, Invaders of Chaos, The End of Anubis or even a Banisher of Light. Jinzo against trap decks like Labrynth, Eldlich, Invader against Spright/Runick (although they could already chain their cards to Expulsion to play around it), Banisher against Floo and Anubis against Tear. End of Anubis is weak in defense tho have to protect it against attacks. I like your take with Keeper I'll try that soon.

Wooow, I didn't know about that expulsion card!! Using tragedy to keep bringing back expulsion which keeps bringing back scythe was really cool. I know scythe locking is gross, but using tragedy's secondary ability (and usually lesser used ability) to loop a combo was really cool to see!! 🥶

Hey guys, maybe one of you can help me with a little something I encountered while playing with a friend. We played Adamancipator against Despia and I really struggle to put anything against his Dragite. There seem to be just too many starters for Despia to handle, and with returning cards to the hand (or essentially shuffling the Fusion monsters back into the Extra Deck), it circumvents basically all removal follow ups that Despia normally has (like Quaeritis, Theatre, Mirrorjade, Opening, etc.), while also Super Poly is a dead card because there are no Lights, Darks or Dragons. On top of that he also plays Naturia Beast and Koa'ki Meiru Guardian to completely lock me down. Saying all this, how would you try to stop him getting to Dragite, or how would you play against Adamancipator as a Despia player in general? Thanks in advance for anyone interested in answering:)

Been working on a Despia/ HERO deck for my bud who was a huge HERO player back in the day. It's actually pretty fun

You can do the expulsion combo in a much more effective way that has less steps, doesn't eat your normal summon for keeper, and also gives you a Mirrorjade

on the first line of combo instead of despian quaeritis you could go into masquerade for more presure

I've been testing playing dragoon with a single copy of Dark magician in the deck. It works pretty good

Only problem is your opponent is going to use Effect Veiler, followed by Ash Blossom, and if you some how get around all that they will hit you with Super Poly. Besides that really nice deck

I think its way easier to do this combo just by opening Aluber. It can get caught off guard by a DD Crow or Called by, but to be fair Keeper of Dragon Magic gets got by Ash or Imperm and now you discarded a card on top of that. It seems minus as hell if ur opp has any response at all. If you open aluber u can use Branded Fusion to make Albion by sending scythe & albaz, then banish albaz and albion for Mirrorjade and banish ur own aluber w mirror jade eff. End phase u set the Branded Expulsion and ur done. You only have to open Aluber or Branded Opening and you dont have to discard to search. Thats my 2 cents, regardless keep up the great vids bro.

Glad to see more people using the Branded Expulsion Scythe lock, I came up with it while playing with some friends and brought it to locals, only lost one game against spright.

So, I haven't really messed with Despia before all too much, so my question for this deck is How do you play past hand traps and negates? Let's say your Keeper, Aluber or Fusion gets stopped? What else could you potentially draw in your opening hand that helps you play past that? I'm really looking into getting into Despia so I'd like to know how to do all this if someone could let me know!

11:00. I play ghost mourner over effect veiler. It's got it's own applications, but it sure does stop scythe. I don't get why people say despia is not good. Have you seen what it does? Sure nothing compares to the 2 best decks, but it keeps up. It keeps up alright. This deck doesn't run out of gas

Is the keeper of dragon magic better than the aluber combo that chris lofton shared? I also thought people weren't on expulsion because of how gimmicky it is, and branded fusion is very likely to get ashed. But I would definitely like to see the deck do a gauntlet against spright, tears, runick spright, etc. Love the content Cali keep it up

You forgot to mention that Combo 1 looses to Imperm. That’s why you special something to your opponents field.
