In February 2024, as part of an annual music series, five Tāmaki artists were invited to the basement of the Central City Library, a place of archive, to enact a living archive, through story and song. This is the third year of the Ka Mua Ka Muri te Iho Auaha, the perspective of artistry and talent from the Tāmaki underground continues.
Brandn Shiraz was earmarked for greatness whilst still at Dilworth College (alongside his classmate and collaborator Lightskin John), identified as an MC of incredible talent, impressing the likes of Tom Scott and Dirty. Having cut his teeth amongst the creative hub of K Road, Brandn continues to share stories through his gift as a solo lyricist and alongside his contemporaries. His style and cadence set him apart and his sound continues to evolve, an emcee of international quality!
