Both are possible and good options but the Pelicans have more need for what we can give, assuming you don't give up Keegan. Zanik is known for his stinginess so Utah will likely ask for Keegs which is a wash and, in my opinion a worse bet. You keep Keegans upside for Markannen's proven offense but baked in mediocrity on D (again assuming Brown and crew can't turn him into a beast, I think there is an uptick but not worth the possible brilliance of Keegs potential, again IMHO). I think Ingram's all-around play and potential improvement under Brown plus the Kings ability to trade extra pieces without giving up Keegan is the better option. BI does cost more though so you open up options with Markannen. Still, I would rather keep Domas at the 5, move Keegs to the 4, BI at 3, Monk at 2 and Fox at the 1, Keon+Carter+Lyles+Len+others off the bench. Lauri set up is him at 5/4, Domas at 5/4, ???Barnes at the 3, Monk 2, Fox 1 and now you are searching for Keegs replacement, so you better have a plan in place. Having said all that long winded crap, if you can keep Keegs with Markannen....yeah, that may work nicely. *edit* (whoops I forgot Barnes in the Markanen deal, hes your 3 if hes not involved in the trade)

Both are interested by Warriors as well and since the Klay sign and trade with Mavs and CP3 is as a free agent and PG in 76ers, so right now there is a huge competition for those players and I expect no trade IN.

And people always point to the Haliburton trade like we didn't have a potential all star in Fox on the roster and acquired a 25-year old two-time all star that was a perfect complement to him. The Kings didn't trade Tyrese for CJ McCollum or Bradley Beal or someone that would create some redundancy and keep the same holes on the roster. They used their best young asset at the time to make their team better and enhance both Fox and Sabonis' games. Keegan is not just an expendable young talent on our bench perceived to have some potential like Kuminga or Talen Horton Tucker when he was with the Lakers or something, like he's an integral part of our team that would create a hole if he's moved. I swear people just become intentionally obtuse because they obsess over wanting a trade, any trade.

You are 💯 correct. Monte will not make a trade just to get a headline and sacrifice the franchise’s future. Monte just has to be patient and find the right deal that makes sense…and it may not be this season. It might be next year. So if all we add to the team is Carter, and other minor trades and free agent signings, I’m ok with it, with Monte looking out for the franchise’s future. It’s a 3-6 year window according to the Kings.

Huh? Kings were 3rd in defensive rating the last 26 games of the year. The best defense is a rebound, not a block, and Sabonis is the best rebounder in the NBA. Mike Brown doesn’t teach blocks because they aren’t a guaranteed turnover, and besides usually going out of bounds, (back to opponents) often also results in a goaltending, foul, or a drive to basket because pump fake gets “rim protector” in the air. Lastly, you help Sabonis by getting perimeter players like Keon and Devin Carter who keep opponents out of the paint to begin with.😉

So, whats your solution to put the right pieces around him? Also, part of protecting the rim is defending the perimeter. BI/Lauri have length, too.
